If the battle of Winterfell disappointed by failing to provide an adequate death list, one may well assume the relentless bloodshed that underpinned Sunday evenings episode of Game of Thrones might appease its increasingly hard to please fan-base. But despite the demise of several key players, viewers were once again left to express their frustration, confusion and anger over what many regarded as an underwhelming penultimate instalment in the long-running fantasy drama.

Nice summary.
We have been pulling for Dany along the way
Next sunday will be interesting to see how it wraps up
I wish I could remember what Bran Stark told Jaime in their last conversation together.
A lot of folks got hoodwinked thinking Jaime became a good guy.
Might not be a bad way to end the series.
It’ll make billions if they continue the storyline.
You know folks will watch it, and once you have an established story with characters and plots that can be laid out in a million different ways it can literally go on forever with good writing. Think Star Wars before the last batch of bad movies.
She’s always been a psycho.
She crucified the great masters of that town back in one of the first seasons.
This episode hardly surprised me.
Yup — that’s exactly what she did!
Yes, I thought of Bronn too. He seems to lose out, but he did make both of his deals with Lancasters. I don’t know who he would take revenge on.
I do see your reasoning, and throughout the series we have seen people alter their perspective. Most recently Dany becoming less reasonable, but what pushed her to this position? There were many chances given to Cersi to save her people. And Dany too had saved people many times. But the circumstances of the final battle had to pay for all their faults.
I can see a leader deciding that giving quarter to a side that would give no quarter does not make sense. I agree that Dany could have been more sensitive to the collateral damage that she was doing but I cannot fault her for making her decision. In this case I want to respect her decision. We will see what the writers end up saying next time.
Perhaps this was showing what kind of a leader she would be in order to give us a direct comparison to the leadership we would have with Jon. Although we do not get to see how Jon would have handled it. Even when the swords were thrown down, Jon was hesitant as to what they should do next.
What were your thought processes when you typed that comment? How does not watching GOT and my thinking on voting have anything to do with one another?
That is a illogical statement. If I were to peg you from that one statement I would say you are a person that does everything based on emotion rather than any kind of common sense and logic.
If you are prone to offer opinions on topics you know nothing about, you are also probably prone to vote in ignorance. The former is an indicator of a personality trait that spills into the latter. Why would these seemingly unrelated issues be tied together, you ask? Because the primary reason I attend Free Republic is to discuss issues related to the health of our Nation. The senseless voting I observe comes from low information voters: probably the same as low information movie commentators.
If I were to peg you from that one statement...
You have already established yourself as a low information thinker. You'd best stop while you are behind.
No more Tolkien for us. I don't blame him with all that money in front of his nose. I just wouldn't have gone that way.
Jamie turning back to the darkside last week killed it for me.//
That was too stupid. I guess you could say he missed the Queen who basically wanted to kill him, which also seemed stupid. Going North to your enemies with little in hand except -surprise Cersi is gonna back stab you. Hell anybody except maybe Jon could see that a mile away.
Benioff and Weiss will helm the next SW movie coming out in 2020 after SW Ep. 9. Yeah!
