Please encourage your friends to contact the cruise line and tell them what happened to them.

A similar thing happened to us in ‘96.

We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise and the first stop was Fort-de-France in Martinique, to take on fresh water after a day at sea.

What a crap-hole!

They let us out to “explore” but didn’t tell us we were taking our life in our hands.

The other ports we stopped at over the next six days were great.

I vocally complained to the cruise director and the cruise line.

I noticed the following year, it was off the itinerary for the same cruise.

I am sure others spoke up as well.

These islands depend on tourist dollars.

If they cannot treat tourists well, then the heck with them.

This year, the Brewers were checking addresses to limit tickets to the “flatlanders”.

I had set up a surprise birthday present for my better angel’s 65th birthday.(rabid, foam at the mouth Cubs fan)
She is originally from Wisc. and her family is still there. (I flipped her from a Packers fan to a Bears fan)

I was able to get our daughter (Texas) our son(Illinois) her Brothers’ family(Seymour (west of Green Bay) Wisc) Her Sister in law (Southern Wisc. Our niece and her kids(Upper Wisc).
all to come to a Cub-Brewers game.

We got there early were in a mostly empty row - the last row in a section that backs up to the concourse.
All of a sudden my daughter shows up and crawls over us with an “excuse me, pardon me..etc... Took a minute to register with my wife. She stands up, turns around and there’s the family all wishing her a happy birthday.

Cubs fan here.
My first Wrigley Cubs game was a Sunday double header vs. the Cardinals.
Don Cardwell pitched a no-hitter in the 2nd game.

Was there for Ernie Banks day.

Had 1st row box seats ( folding chairs back then ) edge of the Cubs dugout, even with Ron Santo 1969 opening day.

In ‘69, I worked nights and would go to the Cubs game most every day. Get there at 10-10:30 in the a.m. - watch both teams take batting\fielding practice. (can’t do that anymore). Left field Bleachers (no I wasn’t an official bum) seat was a buck. I’d watch 6-7 innings, hop the “el” and make it to work on time.
That came to an end in June as I was drafted.

Had playoff tickets in 2016 (the end of the misery) and 2017.

Went to a Cardinals game in St. Louis wearing, of course, a Cubs hat. The only blue hat in a sea of Red hats.
We are in the upper deck grandstand left field in the old concrete jungle - a sell-out.
I stand up and turn around an yell “What the hell are all you Cardinal fans doing at a Cubs game ?”
It was game on after that. I hardly saw the game. The gorillas in front of us kept standing up...too funny.

Cardinals in town this week-end. Tough call...golf ? or Cubs game...
