During the 2018 Midterms in the United States, strange signs started appearing at political rallies. Held up by non-descript attendees, the signs read simply, We are Q. For those Trekkers out there, you might be confused: no, these rallygoers were not making an oblique reference to the infamous Star Trek: The Next Generation character portrayed by John de Lancie. The group appeared from the fringes of internet chat rooms, such as on the website of 4Chan, a peculiar mixture of cyberpunks and various online misfits.
Q is derived from an anonymous poster on the internet forum, a source claiming to have a top secret clearance with the U.S. intelligence community. This person (or group of people) spun an intricate conspiracy theory that many Far Right activists on gonzo internet forums picked up and began disseminating to wider audiences online and in their communities.
The conspiracy goes like this: the real purpose of the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation was not to investigate Donald Trump, but instead to investigate Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and people like former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman, John Podesta. The QAnon conspiracy theory is far-reaching, with new pieces added with regularity, in the form of what Q supporters refer to as breadcrumbs. One such addition to the conspiracy theory last year was that the Mueller probe was also looking into the now-deceased Senator John McCain (R-AZ) for his illegal activities.
What is the ultimate end of the QAnon conspiracy; what does Mueller hope to achieve, according to them?
That part, like most conspiracy theories, is conveniently not knowable. The Mueller investigation, having ended in a whimper rather than the bang the Trump-hating Fake News was hoping for, should have been the end of the QAnon conspiracy theory. QAnon conspiracy theorists have simultaneously argued that the ultimate target of the Mueller investigation is either the Deep State of nefarious anti-American, globalist actors, or the aim is to pursue high-profile pedophiles in the United States government and in other powerful circles related to the government.
QAnons Pernicious Connections to Pizzagate
Now for the most pernicious aspect of the QAnon conspiracy theory. In 2016, conspiracists on 4Chan and other similar fringe messaging boards claimed that the emails stolen from Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podestas (and subsequently made public by WikiLeaks) contained secret messages referring to a powerful ring of pedophiles who were using a local Washington, D.C. pizzeria as a base of operations to conduct their crimes. None of these claims were true. But, what ended up happening was that the highly irresponsible conspiracy theory triggered a mentally unstable man, who in turn took a gun to a D.C. pizzeria with intent to use it.
The source material for these theories is the vile, uber-fringe 4Chan and 8Chan. 4Chan was launched in 2003 as a place to share images and discuss Japanese anime. In fact, it was modeled on the Japanese anime internet boards, such as Futaba Channel. Over time, though, the already eclectic group of online personalities that 4Chan attracted devolved into something darker. It became a haven for crazed conspiracy theorists from both sides of the political divide. 4Chan also became popular among the white nationalist community, and also became a place for hackers and other criminalsincluding child pornographers. If there was a Hell on the internet, 4Chan was Hell.
Meanwhile, a similar website, created by gonzo software developer, Frederick Brennan, 8Chan was launched in 2013 as a response to what Brennan believed was the rise in authoritarianism, censorship, and surveillance on 4Chan. Despite the fact that 8Chan has become the 3,857th most viewed website in the world, with an average of 35,000 unique visitors per day and 400,000 original posts per day, it too has become mired in controversy. 8Chan, which has been billed as the more libertarian (though, perhaps libertine would be better) 4Chan, has apparently become a hub of international child pornography postings. This became such a problem that, in 2015, 8Chan was blacklisted by Google search. It is a profound understatement to claim that anything positive or good comes from these boards. Yet, it is precisely from sites like these that the Pizzagate and now the QAnon conspiracy theories emanate.
Alternative media figures, such as Mike Cernovich, have also furthered the Pizzagate and QAnon conspiracy theories. Some of these individuals have massive social media followings. With big internet names furthering the conspiracies, it was only a matter of time before disaster struck. In 2016, when the pizzeria shooting happened, several media outlets attempted to lay the blame at the feet of people like Cernovich. This only gave the Fake News Industrial Complex more fuel in their ongoing war against President Trump and the Right.
The very same group of internet Alt-Right activists and online forums that furthered the Pizzagate conspiracy have also spread the QAnon conspiracy theory.
Here are some of the other bizarre, totally inaccurate predictions that QAnon has made:
01/21/18 A flood was alleged to be coming. A flood consisting of various forms of media that I imagine were supposed to implicate somebody in something nefarious. Sadly, this flood never came.
01/21/18 Q makes some very certain claims about the Nunes Memo, which of course do not come remotely true when the memo is released a couple weeks later.
01/22/18 Q posts a confirmed fake Podesta email, then promptly deletes it. But not before his followers have time to notice. 02/09/18 Next week [Next week] was declared suicide weekend. Nothing came to pass.
02/21/18 Q predicts that the founder of Twitter is removing accounts because he and his Deep State friends are in deep trouble. Nothing came to pass.
03/15/18 Q declares March Madness and that the public will soon know. Nothing came to pass.
04/02/18 April was supposed to be a BIG month, full of happenings including but not limited to arrests, the release of the IG report, the wall, military start, and unsealed indictments. Nothing came to pass.
Where Does QAnon Go From Here?
Things have gotten even stranger for the QAnon conspiracists now that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has submitted his final report. While the report has not yet been made public, Attorney General William Barr has seen it, and he has issued a summary of the report.
AG Barr explains that Mueller has not proven any collusion or coordination between President Donald Trump, his top 2016 campaign staffers, and Russian intelligence. The focus of the investigation was Donald Trump and his 2016 presidential campaign. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Podesta, or even John McCain were not targets of the Mueller probe in any way as Q promised.
The fact that the QAnon conspiracy theory is tied in with the Pizzagate fiasco is bad enough. The more damaging part is that these cult-like actors link themselves to the Trump movement, despite the fact that no member of the Trump movement has anything to do with these insane theories. They are the outgrowth of a pathetic group who exist online, in the dark corners of the worldwide web. That they have attached their delusions to the Trump movement is unfortunate.
But, they do not represent and are not affiliated with President Trump, his supporters, or those who work for the president.
Recently, some Q supporters have insisted that certain pictures of President Trump and key advisers in the White House prove that they are, in fact, members of the Q conspiracy because their positioning makes it appear as though they are displaying subliminal messages about Q. These internet personalities claim to be supporting the President. Yet, consistently, their actions have shown that they are not allies of the President. They damage and besmirch the Trump movement with their irresponsible actions.
In that their actions, both directly and indirectly, aid those who would do damage to the Make America Great Again Agenda and see it fail. Whoever Q or QAnon may be, they are most decidedly not close to the President, they are not Conservatives, and with every post they make, they subvert the MAGA Agenda.
He said it was a missile...as did Q
I said it was a helocopter...as do any number of objective observers.
I know this is tough for someone with your capacity, but try to keep up.
Ahahahahahahahahaha. He actually said it outta his mouth.
I ALMOST thought you were smart there for a second, Mickety.
And then you go and say it was a helicopter.
Dude.
Your inability to reason is glaring.
If it was a missile, WHO FIRED IT?
Why didn’t anyone in the densely populated area SEE IT?
Lol you can even keep up with what you posted yourself troll
I even reposted it for in my previous comment for you but here let’s try again
Maybe you’ll grasp it this time
Lol tell me more about your mental capacity.
I have a BA and an MBA you have a CDL
hahahaha
pathetic...

Speaking of imaginary submarines launching missiles....
Remember when Q told us that rogue elements of the US Navy launched a missile from a submarine in the middle of Puget Sound?
Lolz...

The NSA just posted this on its official Twitter feed.
https://twitter.com/NSAGov/status/1116774531195183104
What a strange coincidence.
Would you be a dear and post that on the Q thread, Maggie (if you haven’t already)?
I bet we see THAT in a Q posting today.
I think it is possible but it wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t. They must be seeing a lot of anti-Q shill activity out there and thought they’d drop a social media cluster bomb on their parade. It was awesome timing.

What makes you think nobody saw it?
I used to live by Vandenberg Air Force Base. My dad worked on missiles there. Missiles went off all the time. You get used to it when you live by a military base. And then they put out press releases about what people saw. Like for example, there was a helicopter training exercise and it shot down a large beam of light.
Now YOU do the math on that one.
Use your vast powers of reason and tell me. Did anybody in that densely populated area see it?
You got a brain. Use it.
Just when I think they can’t possibly sink lower...
If no one saw it how do we know it happened? and why are there pictures of it? and how are we discussing it now?
This is the level of logical thinking we are dealing with bagster
How do we really know 2x2 is four duh.....
I’m just supposed to take your word for it?
The pilot of the Air Rescue helicopter confirms taking off at the exact time and from the exact location shown on the time lapse video. They did not see a “missile launch”.
Commercial pilots in the air in the vicinity at the time of the “missile launch” didn’t see anything either, despite being alert and having miles of visibility.
Not one civilian in the Puget Sound area saw a streak of light or heard anything.
And yet the big brains at Qanon not only believe that someone fired a ballistic missile at Air force One from inside the United States, but that they got away with it as well.
Because it wasn't reported by anyone.
Use your brain.
Wait, bagster, you are friends with preying insect?
Well why didn’t you tell us?!
You really do know QAnon then.
Oh btw, your pal preying insect (and Pamphlet Coleman) are grifters.
The worst of the worst, grifting off Trump supporters.
“Yea, that’s part of it. I was wondering exactly why a so-called MAGA man would bash MAGA Q like that, and then it hit me...”
No, it hasn’t hit you yet. Gorka is MAGA, works with President Trump, has Donald Trump Jr. on his show after the QAnon attack.
That’s not sinking in with you bags. Not at all.
Sad.
This event didn't happen anywhere near a missile launch site.
There were commercial aircraft and millions of people in the vicinity.
No one saw anything.
You are aware that military people are subject to orders? Do they often give press conferences? Did he text you, or what?
Commercial pilots in the air in the vicinity at the time of the missile launch didnt see anything either, despite being alert and having miles of visibility.
So there was this big investigation in which SOMEBODY (who exactly) tracked down all the civilian pilots in the vicinity and interviewed them?
Not one civilian in the Puget Sound area saw a streak of light or heard anything.
Because every single civilian in the Puget Sound area was interviewed. By who, the media? The local cops? The FBI? Who exactly. Where are you getting your facts?
You sure say a lot like as if you know things, but you don't pass the smell test, goodman. With all due respect.
No, Mickety. I think YOU should use YOUR brain. The best evidence is the photograph of the missile launch. And you can't refute that, Mister helicopter.
Seriously? A helicopter?
You actually believe that, right?
You're too much, brah.
Sorry, just saw this from you. I see others have already posted the Q of Clubs NSA photo on the Q thread.
Hope I can still qualify for being a dear someday, Bagster!
Not true, of course most people are asleep that early in the morning when the missile went off, but I did find someone who saw the flash of light which lit up the whole sky.
"I was sitting on the beach at 3am Sunday and I saw a flash that lit up the whole sky? Defenitly not lighting couldnt figure out what it was? Maybe this?"
I left the name out but it's in the link: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1788726321210280&id=100002187883058

So Sad
As far as the rest of the made up crap that is a distraction,
There is no doubt it is a missile
Where it was going and what it was aimed at are a different issue
You trying to claim that because someone guessing what the target was proves it isn't a missile is your weakest argument yet
Further more if you really knew what you were talking about you would know that AF1 wasn't in then Pacific Northwest at the time they flew east to west to Singapore
You can't possibly know that.
You should rephrase. Maybe something like, "It wasn't reported that anybody saw the missile launch".
But be sure to acknowledge that it was a missile launch. Cause nobody is buying the helicopter in the cloud with a beam of light hocus pocus. Well, except you.
Ahahahaha.
A mickety is born every minute, or so they say.
Don't be sad, romey. Not everybody's always gonna buy your line of bullschifft.
Didn't your mama tell you that?
#PoorHomeSchoolin
“Lol you claiming you’ve seen the Fisa docs”
I did not claim that, apparently you have trouble with reading comprehension. I said FISA abuse has already been made public, which of course it has, since Congressmen and others have already revealed improprieties in the FISA warrants.
“I wonder what me Senator Graham and Senator Feinstein know that you don’t?”
Everyone, not just Q-tards, knows that military tribunals have been used against FOREIGN terrorists. Many of us also know that there were already legal battles fought over the issue of using military tribunals against US citizens accused of colluding with foreign terrorists, and the courts ruled that those US citizens must be granted due process rights. That is why the Bush and Obama administrations ended up trying those cases in civillian courts.
Of course that jurisprudence is actually not relevant, since the whole basis of the argument is that the Congressional use of force authorization after 9/11 gave the authority to try people as enemy combatants before military tribunals, but that legislation doesn’t apply to people simply accused of violations of our criminal laws, even in the case of high treason. That’s why it’s a total fantasy by the Q-crowd that this will happen, and nobody with any understanding of the law in this country thinks the idea is plausible in the least.
In fact, if that stunt was actually tried, whichever President did it would actually be practicing tyranny and violating the US Constitution. So it’s hardly a path any actual conservative would be hoping for Donald Trump to pursue.
“Don’t worry you’ll know soon enough it has to be frustrating for you being months behind the news curve”
Your precious Q predicted these military tribunals were going to happen well over a year ago, and of course his predictions failed as they always do. It’s not going to happen, the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will stop looking like a fool.
