1/ NEW: Stephen Miller tells me WH is developing "aggressive" executive actions to crackdown on illegal and legal immigration, to be announced soon. Example is levying "substantial" allowable fines on illegal aliens who remain in US despite removal order.
2/ Miller stressed that executive actions will encompass both illegal immigration and legal immigration fraud including "welfare tourism" and visa overstays. Actions designed to increase pressure on Congress to take action on immigration reform.
3/ Asked why it took so long in the term to get these done, Miller outlined history of Trump admin actions and explained that many new regs “are nearing their completion date,” and that they will “have transformative effects on our immigration system.”
