Identity politics.
Imagine if they caught two white guys with MAGA hats that night.
To: headstamp 2
The fact that the case is sealed tells you all you need to know about this nonsense. This is a political decision, not a law decision.
To: SERKIT
This is what the Left do as retaliation for innocent conservatives escaping false accusations.

so who are the new suspects? Some right wing, racists military cockasians Seems to be some confusion whether the prosecutors are saying some, or all of it didn't happen as the evidence indicates, or that he's suffered enough and there is no point in pursuing the case further.

The old two-tiered justice system: one for liberals, another for the rest of us.
Imagine this ever happening to any conservative....liberal media would make it #1 headline issue for months.......

Sounds like a decision made by prosecutors who felt that while the evidence did not show Jussie committed a crime, it did not exonerate him either, and that there wasnt sufficient proof to prosecute him.
Just making a point about prosecutorial discretion.
Sounds more like his lawyers negotiated a deal, if it indeed was contingent on his forfeiting $10k and doing community service.

Just a coincidence that a busload of demonrat congress critters met with Obama yesterday, getting their marching orders.
To: gcparent
It’s very complicated, but in a nutshell, Illinois has all sorts of provisions for allowing a first offender to have a case taken under advisement, do some community service and complete a program, and have the case dismissed.
To: gcparent
Illinois allows this for all sorts of felonies. Even weapons offenses and serious drug charges.
To: SERKIT
Prosecutors felt that, since he did not have the protection of white privilege, and being black and gay in a white racist culture, he should be shown extraordinary leniency in order to make up for years of slavery and jim crow laws.

There’s also the Tina Tchen/Kim Foxx angle.
Hope these people find out the hard way that the cover-up us worse than the crime.

It’s almost certainly a plea deal. That also explains the seal.

Agrees to forfeit bond, but evidently hes innocent? A brand new form of Chicago self-bribery.
