Former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has been jailed for refusing to testify to a grand jury investigating Wikileaks.
U.S. District Judge Claude Hilton ordered Manning to jail Friday after a brief hearing in which Manning confirmed she has no intention of testifying.
She told the judge she 'will accept whatever you bring upon me.'
She was booked into the Alexandria Detention Center in Virginia, which houses about 400 inmates.

He has principles?
Well at least in one way he does. He will never procreate and make more like him.
Put him in with Big Bubbah, that is what he craves......
Why is a grand jury investigating Wikileaks ? This sounds like the more critical question for the future of our eratwhile-republic ?
I think the curious thing is that the Army presented most all evidence that existed, and the Army court didn’t have any issues on guilt....then handed out the 35-year sentence. So here we are almost ten years later, and the civilian court wants to chat only about WikiLeaks, which you’d think the whole story was told in the military court, and he just needs to repeat the same story told there.
There’s some piece of the original story which appears to have been left out by Army investigators and never told to the Army court, which is driving Manning to be worried over implications in the Grand Jury room. So you have to wonder....what is it that the Army investigators failed to find or lay out?
Yes, they’ve had Assange under house arrest for qhat? 8 years based on supposed sealed indictments and the Grand Jury is still sitting? Sounds more like they are trying to tag Trump to Assange somehow. Abuse of power. Trump should pardon Assange or at least allow him free transit to Ecuador, Australia, Iceland or where ever else he is welcome.
burn him...

Or he just wants the attention and some jailhouse fun.
I see. From what Ive been able to glean, that sounds like a good idea.
Was he jailed with the men or with the women?
On jail-house levels....given a preference of a military-run operation, or just a plain regular fed prison....I’d pick the military-run operation. I don’t think he sees this as ‘fun’. Also, I think the potential for more fed charges might occur. You have to remember....Obama only commuted his sentence (there was no pardon). There might be two or three additional federal crimes that could be put upon Manning, and there’s zero chance now for another commute deal or a pardon.
Go ahead & laugh. Manning is being a hero. This case is sick &should have us all worried.

Manning committed the grave sin of exposing the slaughter (from a helicopter) of women and children. A friend of mine’s brother had similar war porn from Vietnam. I thought the guys who got off on it were sickos.
I believe it was determined no American Military Operations were endangered by Manning’s Leaks.
Posturing. Could have simply pledged the 5th
“Or he just wants the attention and some jailhouse fun.”
A bit of “strange” no matter which side of the jail he’s housed in. Either way, the “chef’s surprise” for Bubba or the Bubbette’s.
He's no hero. He did nothing to Help America or anyone else.
He's just a gender-confused America-hating leftist. No wonder Obama sprang him from prison.
*** He’s no hero. He did nothing to Help America or anyone else. ***
By “America”, do you mean the Country, or the Perpetual War Machine that is built on false premises to benefit the Military Industrial Complex?
He couldn’t get laid on the outside, so .....
I served on a grand jury not long ago. I was amazed at its investigative powers.
Put me back on to grill Hillary.
