None of anything in that first paragraph had anything to do with a movie being good or bad. Unless movies are to be judged on purely political grounds.
Saw the movie was in the theaters but it didn’t seem like the kind of movie I was willing to pay to see.
I haven’t read anything about the movie.
Justine was hoping Quentin Tarantino had a new Black Revenge Fantasy Movie in the running.
Translation: Whitey liked it too much.
Saw it, liked it. B+ maybe. Check the black actor out in True Dectective, season 3. He is a great actor.
Why does he bring up the movie Crash?? Is he one of these liberals who were pissed that Crash beat Brokeback Mountain for best picture? He still holds a grudge that a homosexual themed movies didn’t win the big prize??
But Green Book meets the politically correct merits of the star being black, gay and Democrat.
I was shocked to see that Sebastian Maniscalco is in this.
He is the funniest stand-up comedian I have seen in a long time.
Can’t wait to view it when it is available at home.
I’ve seen it twice and I could easily sit through it again. The transformation of Viggio Mortensen from a Middle Earth King to a street smart Italian bouncer is so good you never even think of LOTR and his rapport with Mahershala Ali is perfect. Upsetting the snowflakes is just icing on the cake.
I too am happy that leftists are pissed, but I still couldn’t care any less about Hollywood or their award shows.
Even for the apolitical, I just don’t understand the appeal of caring whether a movie that you had enough interest to see wins an award. At least with sports, the team of mercenaries ostensibly represents a city or university that you have some affiliation with, but with movies, I’d have to have a personal relationship with one of the actors up for an award to care at all.
What does the current Democrat Party have in common with “Hollywood & The Academy Awards”? Both are pathetic, sick, demented losers. I suspect, when later today, we get to review the the TV viewing audience numbers, they will confirm how both the Democrat Party & the Hollywood Academy Awards presentations have zero impact, no one is watching and no one cares.
LA Times pans it? That does it — I’m going to see it!
Boycott ALL movies . Zero support for the film industry loons and a-holes . Not a dime . Just cut them off. Find other ways to entertain yourselves. Make some popcorn at home and watch the sunset. With a glass of red in hand , and a cigar. The options ,other than waiting your time & $ with these ridiculous stupid movies are endless .
Yes.
I never heard about it or remember seeing any advertisements for it.
Don’t care. Haven’t watched the Oscars since 1997 and stopped watching the NFL, NBA and MLB in 1992. Have better things to donwith my time than worship rich idiots.
I first saw Mahershala Ali in the “4400,” a Sci-Fi TV show 2004-2007. Have not seen this current film.
>> Green Book is an embarrassment; the film industrys unquestioning embrace of it is another.
Oscar votes are like Congressional votes.
Are the voters required to actually SEE the movies that they vote for? Or do they pass the bill so they can see what’s in it?
