I think it is great you gentlemen are cooking well... MrSmith an old timer and Weston a rookie with Crock Pot meals. I love crock pot cooking an have my own batch of recipes.. others have shared good ideas.

MrSmith, I too always have a bed of sliced onions under EVERY savory dish. I also use an orgnic spray to minimize cleanup. I don’t care for the liners personally

I am one who doesn’t add a lot of liquid to crock as I like more of the roasted rather than stewed for meats. I normally have plenty of broth for gravy and if need more can add water, beef/chicken broth or wine(wink wink).

I really like the Mississippi pot roast for a meal. in lieu of the onion soup one could use a packet of au jus. I normally top with minced garlic and chop up the banana peppers. I have been lazy and DONT do the prior browning. I think it might be better.. but as I don’t eat meat, not sure. LOL. The reciients at dinner parties, church pot lucks etc have raved on it.

amazing pork chops/sauce is great. I made this where I was staying a few weeks ago. Served with mashed potatoes, corn and green beans. the young couple licked the plate!

No NIKK.. have not been to that Park... it has a lot to offer and maybe this summer I could do it depending on a lot of things. Ohio is rich with parks..Nationa, state, local.. In my area between the cuyahoga Valley national park and Lake Erie numerous parks......plus the wine/covered bridge country .. there is a lot to see. I at one time bike 2-3K miles a year. Did mostly road but also various trails in various parks. The rails to trails are great and a lot of towpaths converted.

But life changes and so does one’s activies. Sure do miss those excursions.

Most definitely. I take oxybutynin for bladder control and one of the side effects is dry eye. So I have to make the choice of having bladder problems or having dry eyes. I am picking dry eyes, but sometimes they get so bad I am not sure if I can continue the medication. In my research all bladder control med's can cause dry eyes.

okay... I have half followed this discussion but I am often a bold dresser and this is something I might like. I have a feeling it looks better in person than in pix.
