You are not going to believe this HO car, truck and train layout...
Please check out the full 10 min video at the YouTube link provided.
I strongly suggest watching on FULL screen.

My favorite Addams Family scene, here are more of the same in different contexts:

That’s amazing. The detail work is superb.
Also the sense of humor!
We lived very close to a switch yard where many activities went on. Engineers traded shifts, work trains rested, once we were home when a circus train went through and stopped to water the animals. One of the saddest parts of moving was leaving the trains. And no we did not hear them. They were just a part of our daily song.
That is the first I have heard of OpenTTD. Thanks for the pointer! Now I have something else to waste hours on :-)
If you do a search there is an online instructional. Could be there on that site too? It does indeed eat up time. There is a curve to just learning how to use it. lol
Back in the early sixties when I was chopping 1/24 scale model cars to customize them, I found this tiny store in downtown Washington DC, tucked in a short alley in Woodward and Lothrop parking lot. Storefront was not wider than ten feet or so, with a 3 foot aisle the width of the store and a narrow counter, 3 ft. owner’s aisle and then counter to ceiling wall to wall shallow shelves, just wide enough to showcase the goods....had every mfr. painted and in white metal, like a museum. Pricey to say the least, even back then.
Always stopped in on my way to Corr’s hobby shop a block away. He enjoyed the visits showing me new or special stock with background history, even though I only bought the small scale tools and brass bar stock I needed.
Place was the Tiffany’s of HO gauge and smaller.

Except that Vito Corleone’s company was the “Genco Olive Oil” company. Named, if I remember correctly, for the family that smuggled young Vito out of Sicily.
At the very beginning it looks like street where the bikers got their arses kicked in the movie Bronx Tale.
The bar would be in the Don Corleone Olive Oil Company building.
#9 and the ample booty!
You mean caboose : )
It’s a start.
Gosh I love model railroading.
This is an excellent video - thanks!!!!
All that is missing is me in a Godzilla costume.
Like many of you, I’m sure, this is something I’ve always dreamed of doing but don’t have the time/space/money/artistic ability.
I’ve still got my old HO slot cars in a box in the attic, including a few of the old Aurora vibrator cars that were powered by a coil that vibrates a rod that pushes a bar that rotates a gear. Whoever came up with that should have gotten the Rube Goldberg award. Noisy and slow.
Interesting! Saving for later viewing of video.
