God help British sculpture!
I would love to have seen that.
This is interesting;
Hope you enjoy it.

Because we are created in our Creator's image, right down to His creative impulse.
Thanks! I'm going to try to view it using the Roku app.
In her Plato Prehistorian: 10,000 to 5000 B.C. Myth, Religion, Archaeology, Mary Settegast reproduces a table which shows four runic character sets; a is Upper Paleolithic (found among the cave paintings), b is Indus Valley script, c is Greek (western branch), and d is the Scandinavian runic alphabet.
KEYWORDS: neandertal; neandertals; neanderthal; neanderthalsThe Neandertal Enigma"Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]

HANDS UP! DON’T SHOOT!..................................
It has always been my opinion that ‘cave painting’ was done by the women of the clan or tribe or family group. They would have the eye for detail these things have shown and the subtlety of color and shading.
They would have had the time while the men were out hunting or whatever they were doing, to paint the caves, maybe as decoration. I can’t see ancient ‘man’ doing it, but I can ancient women doing it.
Another reason for the women doing it was that the paintings were not so much a ‘recording’ of a successful ‘hunt’ but a SHOPPING LIST and a ‘HOW TO’ Instruction set from Mama Cave Woman to her hubby.
IOW, bring home a buffalo and this is how you do it!.......................
I think it was teen boys. I attribute most inventions to teen boys as well -- fire, the wheel (probably immediately followed by skateboards), canoes, double-dirty-dog-dares, etc.
LOL
