I live in the Atlanta Metro area, but these events have been flying under the radar...at least MY radar. I was aware that Kasim Reed (former Mayor of Atlanta) has some investigations going on, but I was not aware how far along they were.

I heard this on WSB this morning. Caught me totally by surprise:

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Katrina Taylor-Parks, the deputy chief of staff for former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, collapsed in federal court while the judge announced her sentence as part of the Atlanta City Hall bribery scandal.

ATLANTA - U.S. Attorney BJay Pak made it clear to Atlanta citizens that the joint FBI-IRS Atlanta City Hall bribery investigation is picking up steam, resources, and possibly more indictments.

I was unaware of how far along any of this was. I guess it should not be totally suprising that these happenings would not be emphasized too strongly down here.

Take heart. The game is afoot! Rooting out this corruption is literal door-to-door combat: one here...two there, but progress nonetheless.

On other fronts: Two newly-elected Repub goobernors took the oath of office yesterday. In Georgia it was Brian Kemp, and in my native Buckeye State it was Mike Dewine.

My suggestion is to pick up Soros and have a telethon where people from around the world can pledge money to choose which nation gets him. The proceeds will go to a legitimate NGO that helps victims of human trafficking.

I've been meaning to ask someone about the "skywatching". Aren't we civvie/mortals reliant on Google Earth where imagery dates of a land area are not real time or current? Aren't the imagery dates literally "dated"? Maybe a better term would be "outdated".

For instance, back in my old, rural Ohio hood the newest GE imagery is from May 2018. Is there another imagery service keeping more current data available to us?

I have been basing my congress response’s from memories of a high school “Government” class taken in Nebraska a long long time ago. However, I did go google a definition of unicameral.

I don’t remember what the legislature of Nebraska was called. But it sounds like you are on to something when saying that even though Nebraska doesn’t have congressmen or women a unicameral style government’s legislature can also be called a congress.

Thanks for the additional research. I wish I had that old Govt’ book handy now. Before I posted this response, I just did a quick Wikipedia dig myself. It stated that Nebraska has a “Speaker” of their legislature. I didn’t find any reference to it being called a “congress.” But I did see one reference to the legislature being simply called “The Unicameral.”

Unless it's all an act. She's done a great job of becoming, very quickly, the most well known person in the new Congress. Everybody knows who she is and lefties think we're mean, or jealous, or racist or something for pointing out her misstatements. I believe it's an act.
