FIRST COUPLE VISITS TROOPS CHRISTMAS DAY IN IRAQ AND GERMANY (12-25-18)

Keep the Truth coming Mr. President
Keep on Tweeting!
Here’s another one that I tried, this is good because it has sour cream
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds red potatoes, cut into chunks
½ cup finely diced red onion
½ cup diced celery
¼ cup chopped fresh chives
¾ cup full-fat sour cream (I used Kalona Supernatural)
2 Tbsp. whole milk
2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
½ tsp. fine sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ cup crumbled blue cheese (2 ounces)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place potatoes in a large saucepan. Cover potatoes with water, and bring to a boil.
Cook for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Drain and place potatoes in a large bowl.
Add onion, celery and chives; toss gently to combine.
To make dressing, combine sour cream and next 4 ingredients and whisk together to combine. Stir in blue cheese crumbles.
Pour dressing over potato mixture; toss gently to coat. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
I see a “reasonable” chance of success: pass pretty much Trump’s bill in the Senate, and throw in something extra for Nancy and her crowd. Not too much I hope.
The crux of this plan is getting 60 votes to start debate in the Senate. After that it’s ‘easy street’.
And what makes it likely Mitch can get 60 votes to start debate is that the vote will be on a bill that the House sent to them- one of Pelosi’s. It will be amended to Trump’s offer by 51 votes though and Trump’s offer is what will be debated instead.
Now I don’t think the Dem Senators can explain why they are voting against Pelosi’s bill- which is how it will look.
Media will be working hard though, showing their advertisers that they can convince a lot of people of anything- which is what they’re paid to do.
Agreed. Also, put the blame where it lies, and that is NOT on Trump. Good grief....the reason they’re all there is past failures. The man can’t clean up EVERYTHING from the buffoons who created the problems.
Didn’t DACA and TPS just expire?
Sounds like you’re ready. Stay warm!
Oh, I miss YOU, too!
*HUG*
It’s been a crazy week!
I’m a afraid I went the Pilsbury route for the muffins.
It would have been to costly to buy all the ingredients and do it from scratch.
With the storm bearing down on us, I am kind of pressed for time!
Good summary of the plan. McConnell working with President. Thanks.

The Presidents proposal demonstrates his commitment to reopening our govt and addressing the crisis at the border. Pelosi rejected this compromise outright.
Dem colleagues: come to the table and negotiate in good faith. It is our duty to secure our border and reopen the govt.
Just had a nice thought: what if Pelosi is overthrown as Speaker—she looks like she is done anyway—she may be asked by her side to step down, or she may be forced to retire due to past “indiscretions”(like treason), disguised as health issues?
This could get very interesting.
Here’s a story to warm your heart;
77-Year-Old Veteran Dies Alone, Hundreds of Strangers Show Up at Funeral
Hundreds of strangers came together on Friday, Jan. 18, for the funeral of a U.S. Army veteran who died alone at his New Jersey home last month
Peter Turnpu, 77, died on Dec. 9 from natural causes. He had no known relative and few friends. So a police officer asked LeRoy Wooster, owner of LeRoy Wooster Funeral Home in Atco, to help put together a service for Turnpu.
It was the right thing to do, Wooster said. I didnt want him to be buried alone.
More than 1,000 paid their respects at the funeral in North Hanover Township, around 42 miles east of Philadelphia, on the afternoon of Jan. 18. An honor guard from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst was also present.
The veterans among the mourners, some leaning on canes and many decorated with medals and holding flags, saluted as the casket passed, the Inquirer reported.
Just keepin' it "classy"....and dumber than a pile of wet stone.
JMHO, the only thing the 'rats are going to accept is Submission.
...and the only response they deserve (and are most likely going to get) is direction they should ESAD.
Thanks, I just did the same when I saw your post. :-)
Thank you. Very hard to be accurate and complete. (Its not as bad as doing math on FR- always seem to err, and so do most. It’s bizarre.)
Dem rejection coalescing around wanting “permanent” protection for DACA. Trump could eventually give them that if prevention of future DACAs is included IMHO.
