At first it was because he needed to pass the appropriations for DOD to rebuild the military. After that, the House did pass bills that Trump wanted, but the Senate couldn’t pass them because of the 60 vote rule.

After the speech I turned on CNN, some guy saying everything the President said was a lie, and it is NOT a humanitarian crisis, blah blah blah. Says his proposal is a non-starter.
I need a shower now!
