thank you all for your remarks here and FR mail re: Lucy. God gives us the gift of pets and friends and family for indeterminate time.. we must just appreciate and be responsive to them never knowing how long that will be. there wil always be regrets and I SHOULD HAVES in life but if we do our best, I think that is all God expects. I pray I was a worthy steward of little Miss Lucy

If I were not knee deep in this current ordeal, it could probably be modified for a good dark comedy of sorts. I look back and shake my head.. this can’t be..LOL

I slept so well last night. The past couple weeks of next to no sleep (often up 6 times for Lucy potty) , stress, pain.. well last night a bit different. the pain was still there and the coughing and headache with pneumonia still to prevalent but I did get good rest. The heating pad, hot detox/bath and a couple glasses of wine.

Need to clarify on my “lock out”. It wasn’t the case of a manager in front of my room with his ams folded.

My time had expired and so did the room key. I walked to the office fully expecting to quickly (HA) check in and get a new key that would give me access to the room. I figured after I left that a resolution was underway it wasn’t.

Truly I know God gives us all the signs... This gift card was NOT supposed to work because the giver needed it more than me. Period. Refund coming and note from me of appreciation for trying..

Another Freeper uses the Hotel.com cards all the time with no problems/issues. She took care of my stay for the time after my two day payment expires.

I would not discourage anyone from using the program. It is apparently a good one and my first attempt glitch should not be a deterrent.

Im here safe and warm til Next Wed the 17th til 22 I wil be house/kitty/stoke the stove sitting for the young friend in Nashville OH. No pay but warm bed and she is a friend and is the one who put me together with Lucy. I will be buring Lucy there hopefully tomorrow. originally scheduled for today but rains most of day on forecast and tomorrow clear although significantly colder. I was unable to exhume the remains of Josy and Toby. With more time and warmer weather it would have been possible. Oliver and Calis bones in a box are covered with boxes my squatter raccoons have opened. I spent an hour yesterday afternoon trying to find them. the rascals ate off covers of DVD packaging, tea bags,..incredible mess I hope to feel well enough to tackle soon

So Lucy will be alone in the grave but in the part of country she came from and on a piece of property that the young couple will no doubt live it their whole lives. (it is about 5 homes down from his parents and on nice acreage with old but adequate outbuildings for all their animals.

She is only 25 but remarkable ambitious and caring. She started up her own grooming business and does well. she is an immaculate housekeeper and her grooming spa is spotless. Cooking is NOT her strong point (understatement) .. Like many couples they are the opposite. OCD marries slob! Ha!

Looking forward to president’s message tonight.. oh the drama from the RATS seeking one upsmanship. Several here have encouraged prayer for our president and the ears that will here his message. I am in accord. I fell asleep with various prayers on my mind... that being one.
