no resolution on Hotel.com Terrible ordeal. Manager, his assistant and I tried for 4 hours to get resolution. Sender/gift giver finally cancelled the 250 and 70 cards to cover one week and unfortunately ws disappointed that Amazon has a delay in making funds available. several days.
Has anyone here used it? successfully? I never had
here is what happened to us
Went to the site to find the hotel I wanted.used the link the card provided. Kept getting “sorry” messages. Temporally not available. For 3 hours in AM today. could not register in.. You put in the city first you need to be in.
Decided to just go to front office and see if the manager could handle it. He had never processed these. We spent the next 4 hours on the phone with hotel.com running in circles. They kept referring us to the site which we could not open (the manager and his assistant tried also). They could not process or check me in.
To say he was a little pissed off is an understatement. I said this is my payment for the week. he understand but we couldn’t get to it. Contacted the gift giver
so here I was locked out of my room (with stuff in and a kitten). Option to sleep in van but all my blankets, pillows are in motel and Lucy is riding shotgun (modified in her burial box) on front seat and so I cannot put heat on to speed up the ripening - you get pix.
Decided to spend $ for one night and pray the automatic withdrawals for payments won’t catch up. I went to urgent care again and they just told me to go to my doc.. of course I had to wait & will be charged. It was my third time there and he said I should be going to family doc not UC. He looked in my mouth and checked my lungs etc. verified the pneumonia was still there. feeling crappy and headachy.
I never in a million years imagined this for my “golden” senior years. Until I took care of mom for 20 years all was going well for nest egging and providing for retirement. Ha.
What is the Biblical saying.. want to hear God laugh? Tell him YOUR plans.

Pres Trump today signed another leftover bill from the last Congress, appropriating five years of funding at $25-million a year - up from $21-million/yr - for Children's Advocacy Centers that provide assistance to victims of child abuse.

VP Pence says Pres Trump will use Address to the Nation to make the case that there's "a humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border." That could help Pres Trump justify the declaration of a National Emergency to build a border wall without action by Congress.
