Well I don’t know, but I lost money the last time the price went down. Good thing I didn’t put all my eggs in one basket!
There were two refineries close to where I lived in California. Although they were responsible for most of the tax revenue and philanthropic money in the area they were hated.

If I had the ability I could write a great Novel about Okies in and around Bakersfield. My mom came out a la Grapes of Wrath when she was 10. Her and the 5 remaining unmarried siblings (of 11) lived in a migrant camp in that area. They escaped the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma where they were sharecroppers to pick produce and cotton in California.
The many stories I heard her and my aunts and uncles tell were mesmerizing.

I need to learn how to invest money from you. Although at this late stage, I’m not willing to do anything risky. Lost so much money in the last two Market crashes that I refuse to be involved again. It’s not just the money but all the hours and hours I spent worried and checking the market at all hours. I’m just not cut out for that sort of thing. Boy was it stressful!
