The story in the New York Times regarding Jim Webb being considered as the next Secretary of Defense is FAKE NEWS. I’m sure he is a fine man, but I don’t know Jim, and never met him. Patrick Shanahan, who is Acting Secretary of Defense, is doing a great job!

I’ll have to watch video of him speak later. My granddaughter took me out to lunch at our only Indian restaurant, and was asking me all kinds of questions about what it was like when I grew up and was young, even asking about the JFK assassination.

Thank you Rusty. It was a fun day! I probably spent about $65. Less then I would have if could carry heavy things.

And I came home and took the dog for another walk. It’s so nice to know that if something happens I can pick him up. There’s a lot of loose dogs around here so that’s definitely a necessity.

Now I need to be done for the day. I’m stretching my arms and will turn on the heating pad shortly. Maybe get out the ice bag. TV dinners for dinner tonight!

ONLY if we take away their Golden Retirement Package. Can you imagine the cost to the taxpayer when we have to pay 4 or 5 times as many of these leaches. Need to add that they must contribute to FICA (Social Security) and only receive 5% yearly retirement into their plan.

I like term limits, but we have limit their continuous payments after they leave. Six years and they get full pay until they die and I think the spouse then gets it. I want that package. The dipwad from New York only needs 3 terms in the House and she retires rather well. She can go back to bartending and continue soaking the taxpayers.

I worked at a CPA firm many moons ago, hated tax season. Then I decided I’d rather be a corporate accountant, more variety of things to do, and long days were more spread out during the year. I’ve done taxes for a few small business owners throughout the years, but only if they had their records in order so it wasn’t so much work.

Sounds like a nice day with you and your granddaughter. That’s nice that she’s interested in her heritage. I hope she writes everything down! I should’ve paid more attention when my grandmother was telling me about her Parents and grandparents. And their travels coming to this country
