Alan Dershowitz, a frequent defender of President Donald Trump, said special counsel Robert Mueller’s report will be “devastating” for the president.
The Harvard Law professor emeritus told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos that he believes the president will have to navigate the political impact of a potentially damning final report from the special counsel.
“I think the report is going to be devastating to the president and I know that the president's team is already working on a response to the report,” Dershowitz said on "This Week" Sunday.
Dershowitz added that he believes the report, although it will have a strong political impact, is unlikely to result in criminal charges.
“When I say devastating, I mean it's going to paint a picture that's going to be politically very devastating. I still don't think it's going to make a criminal case,” Dershowitz said.

2-year long criminal investigation?
In terms of criminality, it’s a nothing burger. No charges. No violations. No collusion. Nothing.
But, after 2-years of criminal investigation, the Deep State has found stuff that can be used as a political weapon.
This type of “investigation” should result in the investigators serving time.

Every president going forward will have to have this same ongoing investigation with no limitations. It’s criminal what the deep state democrats and republicans have done here and the long term damage of these actions. It may be the ultimate downfall of this republic.
Dershowitz has shown sound and solid judgement in recent years.
The unrepentant anti-semitism of the Dummycrat party and the loving relationship Trump and the people of Israel have has opened his eyes.
This could well be expectations management. The Dummycrats are whipped up into such a frenzy short of Mueller claiming Trump stole the Lindbergh Baby they’ll be disappointed.

I think after the report comes out Rosenstein gets fired. Then the DOJ does a legitimate investigation of Mueller and his merry band including the Clintons (all of them), and the Obama administration officials. They may have made the first strike, but should shock and awe. Time to end the deep state and the resistance.
