This past Wednesday the Ohio House voted by a 64 to 26 margin to pass HB 228, which seeks to bring Ohio self-defense law into the modern era. It is believed by advocates of this legal advance that the Senate version of the bill will pass that chamber easily, and with sufficient votes to overcome a promised veto by Ohio Governor John Kasich (R).

Although the bill makes several changes to Ohio self-defense and gun law, the changes of most interest in the context of self-defense involve changes to the burden of persuasion on a legal claim of self-defense and the adoption of a “hard” stand-your-ground provision.

*Other Qanteeners see her dash to the Qanteen Qloset and enter in. The door closes. Various rumblings, clatters, mumblings and shatters sound forth. texokie is heard to say some indelicate language not fit for the ears of children and delicate people. *

*Then the sounds of a hand vac firing up reach the nonplussed crowd outside the Qanteen Qloset door*

*Sucking sounds of the vac [much like the sucking sounds of NAFTA as described by Ross Perot] then stop. All hear texokie humming some indistinct songs...then a big metallic clatter....*

OUwwwwwwwch!!!!!!

*texokie, still inside the Qloset, has cleaned up a shattered cheap china tray which had been perched right on top of the spare parts for the Qlock in a very unstable flat place, which of course shifted. She started humming “Little Boxes” - much against her will, but it was stuck now in her head as an “ear worm.” Then to add insult to injury, those darn shovels shifted again and homed in on their favorite target like heat-seeking missiles: texokie’s shins.*

* Recovering from the temporary blocking of progress to her purpose, texokie moves to the hanging up portion of the Qloset and finds the long black cape she was looking for. She finds the item she found left on the dock last Halloween by one of the neighbor children which she has not had time to return yet. Wishing for a mirror, she dons her makeshift costume and prepares to emerge. She does so, and closes the door so as to block the escape of items stored in the Qloset, which almost as on command, shift inside noisily and dramatically - but strangely enough, not against the door *

*texokie makes her announcement to a stunned audience which shortly break up in hooting laughter. Finally one Friendly FReeQ enlightens her that she had failed to grasp that the mask (belonging to the neighbor child) was NOT Batman..... but a DIFFERENT RODENT... probably a Mouse.... but not really that either....another helpful FReeQ, who has caught his/her breath from behind his/her own mask proclaims to all gathered....*

*Kitty Claws, perched on the Steinweigh tenses up and examines the scene. What happened to texokie? DID THAT RAT EAT HER??*

*KittyClaws ears perk up when she sees TEXOKIE arrive at the Quanteen. She is delighted to see that TEXOKIE looks normal; everyone else seems not to be themselves. Why, the Mother of Dragons actually had the nerve to shoo her away just because KittyClaws took a tiny taste of a lovely looking tuna.*

*Gleefully, KittyClaws takes off to welcome TEXOKIE back to the Quanteen, but before she can reach her, TEXOKIE disappears into the Quanteen Qloset. KittenClaws hears the sounds of a great wind behind the door and then an awful howl..fearing for her friend, she scratches at the bottom of the door, not caring that the Quanteen Qarpet seems to be getting shredded in the process.*

*Finally, KittenClaws efforts have paid off and the door begins to open, but what is this!? A Rat! The other Quanteeners have gone mad at the thought, their hysterical laughter filling KittenClaws ears. KittenClaws runs to the Steinway - not to hide, but to gain ground. No giant rat will hurt TEXOKIE and live to tell*

The changes to the Military Justice System won’t be effective until Jan 2019. I don’t look for the real action till then.

I am thinking that something interesting might happen on Dec. 21 though.

To all; We must Remember that Constitutional Elections ARE NOT CERTIFIED by the states, these are formal recommendations to the Congress.

The Congress of the US is the body that recognizes those presented as being legitimately representative of the desires of the citizens of each state. There is some time between election “State Certification” and full recognition without protest or fault finding in the Congress for full recognition of members of the next congress.

Also, the DHS cannot prosecute a crime until a crime has occurred. It is only after I rob the bank that I am a bank robber. Election Certification by the states finalizes the act of Election Fraud.

Perhaps when that happens, that moment is when the schitt hits the fan.

I wonder if we could brainstorm what the plausible benchmarks might be.

1. All elections certified.
2. Friday after Thanksgiving as a convenient kind of holiday for news that might shake things up.

3. Some key date in DEC relative to Congressional holidays.
4. Between Christmas & New Year because of a lot of social limbo given the holidays.

5. 1st or 2nd of January after the new Executive Order and related laws take effect. This is the most pregnant one, I think. Perhaps the whole first week of January or even 1-15 January rolling drama out in waves.

I do think that there will be teaser, incremental sorts of things between now and 1 Jan. Enough to keep some hope alive in the faithful and some terror alive in the guilty.

On the other hand, that intel Brenden Dilley had--ostensibly from a Trump family member originally--sounded like--SOUNDED like the timeline was shorter than 2-3 weeks for the DIMRATS to begin to feel some extremely shocking and painful 'we just been terminally f'd' kinds of feelings & awarenesses.

I say shorter than 2-3 weeks because I don't think he'd have been that giddy if he'd have thought it would be longer.

Part of me reads POTUS as someone who'd also like to give the Nation a grand Christmas present of some sort in terms of some obvious hammering of the evildoers in SOME kind of emphatic way. Maybe the FISA DECLAS could be that.

I wonder what NLP dynamics might be in play. I think Neuro Linguistic Programming might be in play (whether by design or incidental) in the long drawn out process. A couple of things can happen with that--some folks give up. Some folks get wound tighter and tighter such that when the hammer finally falls, the devastation is maximized. I think. But what do I know. I'm just friends with a number of folks who know such arcane things.

I agree. I’ve also thought of a Quanteen map, including the surrounding areas. Sort of like the maps in books like Watership Down or The Lord of the Rings....Game of Thrones...
