Oh my gosh, your description of getting that turkey sounds hilarious. That’s just the sort of thing that makes the holidays so stressful when they really should be just the opposite. And people should act just the opposite, the lady behind you should have been gracious and understanding. Seems like holidays brings out the worst in people.

But you got your free turkey, that’s what matters!

I love your description of your husband going back and forth trying to meet the $150 limit. He sounds very accommodating :-) mine would’ve had a fit, so that’s why I shop alone. But it sure would be nice to have company help me out like you had. You have a true partnership!

That actually sounds perfect to me. He is there to help you move the groceries around, get them into the house, but doesn’t harass you as you are going up and down the aisles. Mine either asks why I need things like horseradish or lemon juice, or he feels the cart with things he likes. Actually it’s usually sometimes both. I like the way you guys do it.

Oh, he does go and get things he wants too but usually I say is there anything you want and he says no.
