1980 Chevy Corvette Four Door Can’t Be Unseen, Seeks $217k

What you are seeing is real, and depending on how you feel about custom creations such as this, that could be a good thing or the stuff of nightmares. In either case, NBS Auto Showroom in Milpitas, California can set you up with all the details on this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette four-door and how to buy it, if you’re so inclined.

Presumably, the sales team will also have some logic behind its asking price of – wait for it – $217,203. Mind you, that’s not an even $217,200, but $217,200 and three extra dollars. Or to put it another way, it's nearly double the cost of a new Corvette ZR1. Then again, you can’t take three friends for a ride in a ZR1.

The 1980 came in the 350 small block except for some shitty California only versions.

Small block was/is ok....ripped the catalytic converter put of mine and went for straight dual exhausts....some headers.....sounds nice.

But with 200k on original engine & the original radiator....I am leaning towards dropping a crate engine in it along with a new radiator and getting the tranny rebuilt.

Come to think of it losing weight was my New Year’s resolution this year. Darn it. Knew I forgot something.

Buying a car with more room is close enough - put a check on that line.

"Competing with the Datsun 280Z for the gold chain crowd award at Studio 54." The 280Z was the last of the Z-cars in the line that started with the 240Z. After the 280Z, we got the ZX line that pretty much defined the term Boulevard Cruiser. The 280Z had gained some weight but remained a pretty basic, no frills sports car inside and out. The pic below is a 1976 280Z, identical to the one I owned. In 1978 the ZX line came along, and there were frills aplenty.

Corvette? I saw 4 door and thought I read Chevette but couldn't figure out who would spend $200 much less $200 grand. Either way, it's not complete without the wood grain paneling.

My 2014 Corvette Stingray was a bit tight for me. I am tall waisted and I could never get comfortable.

I sold it and bought a 2015 Dodge Challenger. Nice and roomy and don’t hit my head. LOL

Even making it unique is not good enough for a 1980 Corvette to be worth much, even 50 years down the road.

Seems like a nice, practical family car.

Especially if your kids overslept and you need to get them to class in time for the 7:30 AM final test

No matter what, at the end of the day, it's still a Corvette.

No one writes songs about Volvos.

`Nuff said. ;)
