On Thursday, Trump claimed the military is putting up thousands of tents to hold migrants, but officials said there are no plans as of now to build tents. The officials said that while there had been informal talks between the Department of Defense and DHS about having the military build tent facilities to house detained migrants, tents were never part of the formal request for assistance submitted by DHS and approved by Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis. One official says that DHS was informally discouraged from making the request by the defense department.

I can't imagine. It chaps my hide that we, for decades, have sent troops all over the world, but refuse to protect our own border. And now we have an invasion, that has been signaled weeks in advance, and we are balking at stopping it.

There are so many different stories about the tents. I read/heard that the tents are not for the Invaders but are to house the military while down there.

The news today says that General Mattis is going down to check things out. Also the military will not have direct contact with the Invaders. They will be doing the things (whatever that is) that will free the boarder patrol up to directly handle the Invaders.
