Looks like a typical artifact of a fax. Though painfully archaic, they’re still standard office gear for many official functions.

It has nothing to do with “adjusted”. I know: I have expertise on this matter.

The image has artifacts consistent with a mechanical digital scan of a paper original, likely a sheet-fed scanner given the absence of dust specs from a platen glass.

It also appears to be formatted in MS Word with a Calibri font. My image is fuzzy, but I’m 90% sure on the font. I played around and was able to match the words per line 100% using a single default tab stop for each paragraph indent and mixed left/right margin settings, not an uncommon facet of customized default settings, particularly of someone who likely writes papers in Word. An overlay will never match exactly due to the characteristics of the scanner which, IMHO, has obvious shortcomings.

I disagree wholeheartedly with the “different fonts” observation and agree in principle with your observation, just not the “adjusted” comment.

I see Feinswine’s letter to Grassley releasing the unredacted letter is dated September 20th. I’m sure she released this because she already knew that a new allegation was forthcoming.

Looks like a different font to me. Looking at "assaulted" in that larger text and comparing to "assault" in the third paragraph. The larger text isn't just larger. It's a taller font.

She says that she was upstairs locked in a bathroom. Kavanaugh and Judge go downstairs and she hears them talking to Smyth and Keyser. She "exited the bathroom, ran outside and went home."

So, she is upstairs and down a hallway in a bathroom with a closed door. Across the hall is a bedroom with an open door in which loud music is being played. But she can hear four people talking downstairs. Even if they were talking loudly over the music, it seems reasonable that they needed to be near the stairs in order to be heard. So, when Ford says she "exited the bathroom, ran outside", it means she came down those same stairs where people were gathered in the vicinity. But, no one saw her?
