The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault came forward with her explosive allegations on Sunday, saying the supposed attack "derailed me substantially for four or five years" and claiming that the episode rendered her "unable to have healthy relationships with men."
The woman, Christine Ford, is a professor at Palo Alto University, according to The Washington Post, which published her account on Sunday. Her decision to go public caps a whirlwhind week that began when Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., sent shockwaves through Washington by releasing a statement saying she turned over information about Kavanaugh from an anonymous accuser to the FBI.
Ford, a 51-year-old registered Democrat who has published in academic journals and trains students in clinical psychology, described the alleged incident on Sunday, saying it occurred at a Maryland house gathering. Ford claimed she headed upstairs to a bathroom when she was suddenly pushed onto a bed, as rock-and-roll music blared.

Pure stupidity.
I believe Mr. Kavanaugh.
This woman has zero credibility, and you want to lend credibility to her story with what evidence?
You need to rethink your strategy.
The pattern of these types of smears is well established, yet anyone who starts making lame ass excuses on whether or not the incident is “relevant” is playing right into the hands of those who continue to perpetrate these stunts.
Shut up!
Her clarification strongly implies strongly that there were four only at party. Therapist said “four boys,” she said two - she says therapist misundertood - there were four at party, two in room.
There’s no trap here. The Democrats deliberately waited until after Kavanaugh testified before releasing this allegation, so he doesn’t even have to answer any questions about it at all.
Here is an excellent Ted Talk by the leading expert in the world on False Memory. I have been following her excellent research work for over 20 years as I have a degree in psychology and also do memory research.
How reliable is your memory?
In retrospect we think what crossed him up was the question: "Have you ever been in trouble with the police". He answered "No"
But he told me he was thinking of a prank on Halloween, the cops were called, he was questioned and let go. He was 16 at the time and was a bit shaken up, at the time, by the whole thing.
Yeah, I call a big fat BS!!!
You dont understand psychotherapy and depth psychology.
I am not disagreeing with you. However, they said this was COUPLES THERAPY, so it is a fair guess that they were having problems, and as you and I know, a woman not being intimate with her spouse is a frequent reason for therapy. And an old story about her high school days could he trotted out. Whether real or imagined or brought up. This incident is a nothingburger compared to someone who suffered serious sex abuse, so she is grasping at straws. Are we still allowed to grasp at them?
Appears to be an academic psychologist who concentrates on research in the Stanford University-Palo Alto University program.
So far, I've seen no first author citations, making it difficult to know her personal areas of professional interest.
It would be interesting to know if John Ray has review any of the published research.
You are correct about many in my profession, but it appears she is not a clinician.
Excellent
That means there were four people plus her in the house. I have never been to a "wild Party" that included only five people.
Was she the only girl?
Those of you who are on social media should spread the good news, please.

These are our swing voters that we need.
I watch then on that site. You know.
This is a candidate running for office, but there are many and very interesting stories.

I had given up voting for a while, but now, every vote counts.
Two things have stuck in my mind as I’ve read all the posts on this string.
1. People have overlooked the fact that the polygraph test was administered by a FORMER FBI employee.
2. Why can’t she name the elitist country club? It appears she claims she hung out there. How many upscale country clubs were in her vicinity at that time?
3. In my own personal experience, way back when I was a teenager, when something traumatic happened to me, I could always remember the year in high school that it occurred. And, particularly, the 10th grade! 15 years old is a tough time for a teenage girl, at best.
The accuser here scrubbed her social media shortly before going public. Can the social media be un-scrubbed?
No they have none. Pure evil.
Sketchiest story I’ve ever heard.
Anyone still obsessed with an event from 35 years ago has bigger mental health issues
Ha ha ha...a broken down old FORD no less!
Has Kavanaugh said anything today since the accuser came forward?
