LAND O LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) A man was arrested for deliberately cutting his neighbor with a chainsaw during an argument over a shrub on Sept. 4.
According to the sheriffs office, around 6:34 p.m., deputies responded to a call about an ongoing dispute between neighbors.
The initial call was about an aggravated battery.
However video from the scene shows Landaker disposing of branches when Zlocki arrives home.
It shows a verbal argument between the two before Zlocki begins hugging the shrub.
The sheriffs office said the video shows Landaker getting his chainsaw and cutting the shrub while the victim is holding it.
In a clear and deliberate act, Zlocki was cut with the chainsaw and Landaker can be seen shoving Zlocki in the back.
Zlockis tendons were cut in his arm.
Based on new findings in the investigation and the video, Landaker was arrested for aggravated battery and simple battery and taken to the Land O Lakes Detention Center.
The ongoing issue was between the neighbors about shrubs that are growing between the property lines.
Florida, fricking Florida.
Looks like your average feminist.
Like, far out man.
A lawyer once told me that tree trimmings are the most litigious cause in small claims court...............
Still mad over losing to Kentucky for the first time since cars were made with carburetors. :)
Dude, the 60’s are soooo over..................
Rand Paul was attacked supposedly over yard waste. Multiple broken ribs.
...tis sad times...
In some states if you fill someone else’s tree you have to pay to replace a grown tree, which can cost thousands upon thousands of dollars. And you can sued for treble damages.
Zlocki begins hugging the shrub
A shrub-hugger
“Zlocki begins hugging the shrub”
I’ve heard of tree huggers but this is going too far.
First you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. (”A path! A path!”) Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest... with... a herring!
Having lived in Fla. for almost 50 years, one thing to keep in mind....Florida IS NOT full of native Floridians. Also, having had all sorts of neighbors good and bad, territorialism is a real thing. lol

Fall and Triple?
“Florida IS NOT full of native Floridians.”
TRUE! One thousand people a DAY moving to Florida. Even so, a lot of folks are not aware of this, and I am always
embarrassed whenever a story about more lunacy in Florida makes the news.
Whoa! Spicoli didn’t age well...
“always embarrassed whenever a story about more lunacy in Florida makes the news.”
This is a good example of it could have never happened anywhere else right? lol
