If it was Subway 5 slices a day for eight years would be a pound and a half.
Somebody tried to tell her that “everything in moderation” bit wouldn’t help here.
She was ‘low-carbing’...
4 slices a day 250 workings days per year is about 1000 slices a year. Times 8 years is about 8000 slices, at $9200 is about $1.12 a slice.
I think the deli is the bigger crook here.
I hope Arby’s doesn’t investigate my 2 years working there as a teenager on the ‘70’s.
I would vote Not Guilty since Hillary is still running around free. Equal justice.
End pieces like that along with blackberry jello and distilled water equal ham salad sold in the deli.
Thats what I figure - there was a camera or two, otherwise she could easily deny it and, as you say, it would never fly in a court of law.

I worked deli for a few years, we threw away amounts of good food that would shock you. I had chopped bbq and ribs every night I closed be susie it was going in the dumpster if no one ate it. we didn’t repackage it just went in the trash, manager told me to take it in back and help myself if I wanted it.
because...f’n auto correct.
Isn’t there a statute of limitations on processed meats?
Have worked many delis over the years, was always told by the owner/manager to go ahead and make myself a sandwich any time i worked.was never considered theft.

The sheriff’s report does not indicate how Giant Eagle calculated that the worker had stolen $9200 worth of ham and salami. When questioned Friday, the employee, Catherine Brenick, reportedly confessed to the deli meat pilferage, “but did not wish to give a statement.”
While police said they took a report about the alleged theft at the request of Giant Eagle, any charging decision rests with the local prosecutors office. However, Sheriff Orvis Campbell noted that felony charges were unlikely in the cold cut case.

As far as I know, almost every grocery store will give you a sample of deli meat
If you ask...
Probably she was a union employee and this was the way to get rid of her...
On Bar Rescue , I learned of a program that counts your inventory quickly and gives you your shortages, maybe there was one for delis as well
