Enough already will the love fest farce of the McCain deep swamp death gig!!! My message is directed to Republican, Governor, Doug Ducey of Arizona.
Sir, you have shortchanged & openly neglected your duties by remaining silent since last, December, 2017, when Republican, Senator, John McCain became absent and unable to cast his vote in the U.S. Senate, therefore rendering him incapable of effectively representing the seven million citizens that reside in Arizona.
I am urging you to do your duty and responsibility and appoint Ms. Kelli Ward...immediately to fill the remaining length of McCain's term. This charade and cover act has gone on way too long and has hurt not only citizens of Arizona...but....all the citizens in the USA.
For your own political success and welfare, I demand that you refuse to appoint any "McCain" family member to the now open McCain remaining term.

Maybe Monday, but I’d bet Ducey doesn’t want anyone to think his mind is already made up and will do interviews and a dog-and-pony show. A week or more.

Just keep in mind if you examine the Arizona Republican Senate primary...Kelli ward would have either won or come darn close to winning if the spoiler Sheriff, Arpaio was not in the race to take away votes from her. We see what develops Monday morning from Governor, Ducey.

I meant petition in the form of phone calls, emails, any type of protest (the original meaning of the word). Not signed petitions although I’m not against that either.

Out of curiosity, do you live in AZ? No judgment, just curious as to where that assumption comes from.
My guess is that if it is indeed what people in AZ demand, it would have already happened, since Ducey himself was facing a primary challenge. Why would he not have given his constituents what they demand?
Officially it has been pushed back to the day after Labor Day.
And while it may seem annoying, Gov. Ducey is a by-the-numbers quiet behind the scenes kind of governor. No mess, no fuss, and things get done.
Right now, he has had months to prepare and select. However, since McCain died, he has likely been getting a deluge of arm twisting from every scoundrel in the US and abroad.
It can be assumed that whoever he chooses, the massed villains will go after him with the smearing intensity of Mueller. Big money campaigns to challenge him in the next election. Personal attacks against him and his family, etc.
For this brief moment, he holds the rest of the US senate and much of President Trump’s agenda in the palm of his hand, for the rest of this senate term.
Yes, I do not envy him one bit.
So please grant him some grace this time.
