This time AOPA gives us the gouge: How to do a Loop
First time flying a Q400, I'd like more real estate and a quick gouge session on reversing thrust.
the best black hat scenario I can think of would be akin to the Hoover Dam episode - DS sponsored guy sets it up to take a plane with a “Q”, draws a “Q” and was set to do something other than what occurred i.e. crash it into populated area or something. Then the media would run with ala Hoover Dam the day the Memo was released. But, in this case, nothing “bad” happened (though could have been thwarted) and the media did not (yet) run with it. I think the reference by “Q” to the whole incident rules out anything random or disconnected suicide, etc - it’s part of the show.
I agree re ; the pilot. The tower does too. I mean, it's their job to sound calm. I work in the power industry - I've been in the transmission operations/dispatcher chair before during exciting events. it's also OUR job to remain calm, but you can year in someone's voice when they're dealing with an issue. I mean, I would always speak carefully and calmly, but perhaps an octave or two above my normal voice.
There's a certain stern seriousness that has to be projected in times of trouble, even if the situation is dire. Maybe the tower was just too good at being calm, but I do wonder. I've been through plenty of system emergencies - storms, tornadoes, equipment failure, etc - I expect to hear some tenseness.
I almost need to be tied down to watch or read anything about him.

dat’s funny.... and I needed funny... ty
It’s possible the thief could’ve been a black hat, and ATC overrode the controls?
I guess the question is, why steal that plane & go on a joyride in the first place?

In USN flight school, the vast majority of 'downs' (flight failures) were headwork related vice airmanship. IOW 'You are behind the plane in your thinking' or 'you make stupid and dangerous decisions.'
When did that happen? I don't remember reading about it here.
Sounds like chris pratt.
Gouge? like, in s.. OK, gouge.
LOL!
AND it was in the hallowed Situation Room. Was the SITU mention in recent Q message related to that? I’m brain damaged and can’t remember.
Imp Rex mentioned how odd it was to get fired in the Sit Room.
the chatter between the pilot and the tower ?
The air traffic guy sounds like he’s doing a Bob Newhart skit..
Yes I do remember.
I think the congresspeople shouted USA, USA.
