is a pdf of evidently a professional study from 2009. The number of sealed indictments was considerably under 1,000, if I understand the text and charts properly. I didn't read every word but I think I got the gist of it accurately.
What do you think of that study and whether it offers any helpful input into my curiosity?

You could very well be right about Theatre. However, diversion is more like it. They lost. They needed time to scurry and hide as much as possible. Problem is, JA + others. If I was on the bottom of the swamp I would have gone AWOL to survive. I wonder how many children were killed. I wonder how many of the children now adults were killed, if they weren’t sacrificed, etc, etc.

That's the same article I referred to you, including page numbers and contents. It's the same article that notes ALL indictments are sealed as a matter of course in some districts. It's the article cited (wrongly) for the proposition that only 284 sealed indictments were filed in 2006.

If you think you got it accurately, that works great for me. I'm glad you finally noticed the article. One point I will make again is to notice the difference between a sealed case and a sealed indictment. Those are not the same thing. Sealed cases are uncommon. Sealed indictments are THE RULE (no exception) in some federal districts.
The thought occurs ... with this Schulte character - he / it / THAT is the (a) weak link as potential pressure point with Julian Assange.

News reporters think they are not missing movement. They think the rest of us that define ‘the fringe’ are missing movement. Actually, they don’t think at all. They merely follow and obey.
It’s all about the ‘4 am talking points’ that Operation Mockingbird leads news organizations to run with.
Operation Mockingbird has been around for decades and was dismissed as ‘Conspiracy Theory’ for wingnuts like us. All the wingnuts of previous generations who tried to bring public awareness to it, of its control of the media, that a ‘free press’ was a lie, that the press engaged in mind control, all of those wingnuts in history were simply mental cases.
That all changed recently with declassification and release of JFK documents where the existence of OPERATION MOCKINGBIRD was confirmed. It was never a ‘conspiracy theory’. Calling it a conspiracy theory was merely a smear to make the viewing public shun those who discussed such things.
