I believe that many thought I was some SJW or fainting heart or surrender monkey because I am of the opinion that Trump will not move to exert power over DOJ (declassify) or to pursue “justice” against the DS coup plotters until after he consolidates and increases his political power by retaining (hopefully expanding) Republican majorities in the midterms. It seems rather obvious that’s his priority, his play, here. I also think ultimately many may be unsatisfied in the justice that does occur. People in the North would have been very unsatisfied with how Lincoln would have dealt with the southern states, had he survived. It’s just part and parcel of the emotions that run high in momentous events.
But others disagree and they are sometimes colorful in their disagreement.

Oh, and I opined that I believe Sessions is part of the problem, not the solution...which is one place I guess I diverge from Q...but I’m taking Trump at his word here, as he has himself expressed great dissatisfaction with Sessions. But I think that rubbed some folks the wrong way.

You win the internet today. Bagster will ignore it because I commented on it. Be that as it may, I believe you are correct. It’s a long road and ALL the pieces must be in place because when it hits, it’s going to be epic. Or will it?

I should probably say, I don’t think Sessions is a black hat...I guess I see him as gray. He’s done many very good things on immigration, sanctuary cities, trafficking (drugs & humans) - all Trump policy priorities. In normal times, he’d be great as an AG of the kind we saw prior to what Clinton and Obama did to the DOJ.
But at the end of the day on all of this stuff, the status of Sessions won’t be a decisive thing. If Trump wants, and the election holds, he can replace him afterward. If Sessions is helping the cause, then all that will be known at some point.
And you can save money on the reception! A win all around.

Well, when the summit was happening, there were a lot of expectations that that was the week when some really incredible BOOMSssss were going to happen.
The point of the post to which I replied is that the summit was a clock marker to start a countdown to the boomage, which supposed will be this coming week, if I understand it correctly!
Hence, I’m like Scrooge perfectly delighted that I didn’t miss Christmas, when it was feared in some quarters that maybe we had missed it!
