Hate to hurt anyone’s feelings, but there is only ONE faith that matters, all else are false.

NO one comes to the Lord accept those who come through Christ Jesus. All else is but false god’s created by Satan to lead you to hell.

[[The writer of the article cannot get away with making a dogmatic statement with surety and then saying that those that do so know less.]]

The funny thing is that the author is declaring that he is more informed than everyone else who believe things strongly- I suspect the author’s intent in this article was a dig at religious beliefs- suggesting that those of different faiths are ‘equally right’ because noone really understands well enough what it is that they believe in- therefore no one belief is more valid than the next=-

The thing is that when a person becomes saved- the Truth is revealed to them for the first time- some m ore than others, but all have the scales lifted from their eyes for the very first time- and them ore we study God’s word, the more the Holy Spirit reveals the truth of God’s word to us.

Salvation from God is based on an absolute moral system of justice and truth- Those that receive salvation participate in this absolute moral foundation- and therefore are more qualified than others to declare what truth is- Those that don’t believe in absolute truth absolute morality etc- are out of the loop-

So based on this silly article, every time everyone arrives at a conclusion about what they believe, they should immediately abandon it and look for something else to believe in. Which is what lefties do since they have no truth larger than themselves, and no moral authority or absolute truth or reality beyond thier own tiny minds. They float from cause to cause and take up each one with utter fanatacism until the next one appears. They are void of basic faith in God or morality or actual scientific fact (like DNA).

The article elevates lefty mental salad to superiority and denigrates people who have basic, traditional belief systems or world views. Not that the latter are always right (there are kooks everywhere), but absent some kind of intellectual rigor and discipline, the result is the chaotic, jumbled, ever-morphing cult fads of the left.

It's not just how confident you are in your belief; it's how much you believe that belief is better than those of other people. In other words, confidence is an absolute value, but belief-superiority is a relative value based on what you think of others' opinions.

beliefs based on reason, reality, and validly proven objective knowledge integrated with past true knowledge are certain and superior to irrational arbitrary beliefs

The Word tells you Mary had children after Jesus was born, so no she did not die a Virgin.

She was 16 when she had Jesus, so where did his brothers and sister come from if not? And NO they were not Josephs children from before he was with Mary.

Alcohol is OK, just do not abuse it. All things are permissible, but not all things are good. All things in moderation, which includes food and alcohol.

These and many other things are easily found in Scripture, if you truly want the answers.

You either believe God or you do not? If God can bring a man back to life, why would you think He is so small He cannot create the Universe in 7 days and make it look like millions or billions.

If God created Eve from Adam and an adult as He did Adam, then why can He not do all the other miracles?

Show where in the Word God was wrong?

Show me where it says He didn’t do as He did. Show me one thing in the Scriptures that you question, and I will prove it true.

You and I completely agree on those things.

Now, go ask a Catholic, even one steeped in understanding of the bible. You’ll get a different opinion. ;)

He could. He may have, or he may not have. The thing is, the six “days” begin with Genesis 1:3. How much time passed between the end of verse 2 and the beginning of verse 3? It doesn’t say.

So often, we base some of our most “strong” beliefs on us reading between the lines and finding things there that are not in the words themselves. The more I read the word, the more I endeavor to not do that. I carefully look at what is there, compare it to context, and then determine what I believe God is trying to tell me.

And it is important to not take it too literally or you can get yourself into trouble. The easiest example I can think of is by simply asking this question: Did the rooster crow once, or twice. One gospel says twice. The rest say once.

If you get hung up trying to argue that point, you miss the message that Jesus was trying to get across, which was this: you say you won’t deny me, but you will, and you will do it vehemently, before the day’s barely begun.

It’s not about roosters.

And genesis 1 is not about how many days it took.

The Hebrew word used for days is the same Hebrew word used when Moses wrote about the 7th day will be the Sabath. He did nit say millions

Besides, God said when sin entered then death entered. For millions of years you need death and destruction. No, there was no death and no destruction until after Adam and Eve sinned.

Do you also question the flood?

How about Christ walking on water?

How about Christ bringing Lazarus back from the dead?

Howe about Jesus changing water to wine, such wine that it tasted as good as the wine that was aged. OH, wait, how could He make wine from water taste like it was years old?

If you don’t take God literally, then why should He take your faith on Him literally?

I truly question whether or not you ever read nthe bible through more than once, if you ever truly read it all the way through even once.

The questions you ask are the ones that come from someone who never has

“EVERYONE thinks their beliefs are best or they would believe something else...

No one says, ‘here’s my opinion and I don’t believe what I’m saying’”

Exactly. What a moronic headline,.. and it is self contradictory. The obvious conclusion is nobody knows anything, every belief system is as good as any other.

You admit you do not like read the Bible, or you may be believe it?

WOW! You are what this idiot author is talking about. You do not believe, or you would not question the core of the truths.

I guess all the predicted prophesies are made up also. Just to make it look like Christ fulfilled prophesy. Right?

Have you ever been a witness to an event?

Ask each person what they saw and what they heard.

They is why more than one witnessed is needed for court, everyone has a different perspective to the same event.

If all witnesses say the exact same thing the judge will toss them all out for collusion.

Yet I know which ones you speak of as different, but you are wrong, they do jive because they are giving you a different message as to what they dwell upon.

I think the best way to have a well founded belief system is to be your own devil’s advocate and to engage people with opposite point of views.

Most importantly it has to harmonious with reality and human nature. One sure way to know that your belief system sucks is if your constantly mad at the world.

That is why leftist are always raging at the world and wanting to change it. Their belief system is not in harmony with reality and are constantly wanting to change or deny reality.

As they say, language is a very limited means to convey meaning—words are but symbols of symbols twice removed, (signposts)....the meaning must already exist within the object, not the subject, and felt!

Ah!
Beliefs, opinions, etc.

I take each one individually. Yes, the same word used for days in Genesis is the one used by Moses regarding the Sabbath. Here’s the deal, though, and it is twofold:

1. these are the meanings that can apply to the word:
NASB Translation
afternoon* (1), age (8), age* (1), all (1), always* (14), amount* (2), battle (1), birthday* (1), Chronicles* (38), completely* (1), continually* (14), course* (1), daily (22), daily the days (1), day (1115), day of the days (1), day that the period (1), day’s (6), day’s every day (1), daylight* (1), days (635), days on the day (1), days to day (1), days you shall daily (1), days ago (1), days’ (11), each (1), each day (4), entire (2), eternity (1), evening* (1), ever in your life* (1), every day (2), fate (1), first (5), forever* (11), forevermore* (1), full (5), full year (1), future* (1), holiday* (3), later* (2), length (1), life (12), life* (1), lifetime (2), lifetime* (1), live (1), long (2), long as i live (1), long* (11), midday* (1), now (5), older* (1), once (2), period (3), perpetually* (2), present (1), recently (1), reigns (1), ripe* (1), short-lived* (1), so long* (1), some time (1), survived* (2), time (45), time* (1), times* (2), today (172), today* (1), usual (1), very old* (1), when (10), when the days (1), whenever (1), while (3), whole (2), year (10), yearly (5), years (13), yesterday* (1).
And this touches on the word “aion” in the new testament. In some places it is translated “world” (do not love the things of this world) and in others it is translated “forever” or “eternity”. but the better translation in both cases Is “age” or “for the age” or for the ages”.
2. Trying to nail down the days misses the whole point. It’s not about seven days, seven years, or seven eons. It is about God Creating the heavens and the earth and everything that is on it.

And since a day is as a thousand years to God, why couldn’t the “days” in genesis be seven thousand years? Or seventy thousand, or seventy million?
