You either believe God or you do not? If God can bring a man back to life, why would you think He is so small He cannot create the Universe in 7 days and make it look like millions or billions.
So often, we base some of our most “strong” beliefs on us reading between the lines and finding things there that are not in the words themselves. The more I read the word, the more I endeavor to not do that. I carefully look at what is there, compare it to context, and then determine what I believe God is trying to tell me.
And it is important to not take it too literally or you can get yourself into trouble. The easiest example I can think of is by simply asking this question: Did the rooster crow once, or twice. One gospel says twice. The rest say once.
If you get hung up trying to argue that point, you miss the message that Jesus was trying to get across, which was this: you say you won’t deny me, but you will, and you will do it vehemently, before the day’s barely begun.
It’s not about roosters.
And genesis 1 is not about how many days it took.
The Hebrew word used for days is the same Hebrew word used when Moses wrote about the 7th day will be the Sabath. He did nit say millions
Besides, God said when sin entered then death entered. For millions of years you need death and destruction. No, there was no death and no destruction until after Adam and Eve sinned.
Do you also question the flood?
How about Christ walking on water?
How about Christ bringing Lazarus back from the dead?
Howe about Jesus changing water to wine, such wine that it tasted as good as the wine that was aged. OH, wait, how could He make wine from water taste like it was years old?
If you don’t take God literally, then why should He take your faith on Him literally?
I truly question whether or not you ever read nthe bible through more than once, if you ever truly read it all the way through even once.
The questions you ask are the ones that come from someone who never has
You admit you do not like read the Bible, or you may be believe it?
WOW! You are what this idiot author is talking about. You do not believe, or you would not question the core of the truths.
I guess all the predicted prophesies are made up also. Just to make it look like Christ fulfilled prophesy. Right?
Have you ever been a witness to an event?
Ask each person what they saw and what they heard.
They is why more than one witnessed is needed for court, everyone has a different perspective to the same event.
If all witnesses say the exact same thing the judge will toss them all out for collusion.
Yet I know which ones you speak of as different, but you are wrong, they do jive because they are giving you a different message as to what they dwell upon.
Actually, what difference does it make? The important thing is Jesus Christ and Him crucified, no one comes to the Father, but through Jesus, and “the Words I give you are life”. Everything else is gravy. I don’t need to know how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. I just trust the LORD that His Word is true.
