Jeanine Pepler, the publicist who represented novelists Jay McInerney and Candace Bushnell, hanged herself Sunday night in her home in Sag Harbor, LI, taking her life the same way Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain did earlier this month. Sources say she was 50.

What is this thing with hanging oneself in one’s home?!? I realize that men usually use guns for suicide, women usually don’t. But why all these hangings? I don’t understand.

Selfish act. I made it past the 50 mark so I’ll probably be okay. If anyone cares. LOL!
I never heard of her, or the writers she represented.
But then, I don’t read many new novels these days.
I don’t know her story, but some people with depression will overly self-medicate, thus increasing the original problem via temporary repression.
That's an amazing number of coincidences, if I believed in coincidences such as this. I don't.

Very tragic, although unfortunately something I predicted. There will be more of this among the liberal, creative crowd who won’t age very gracefully.

Bourdain just signed a deal for a new show.
I doubt anybody will follow this up with a coroner’s report, and I don’t put much stock in that person’s highly politicized point of view.
If she is a leftist, I applaud her decision.
If she is on the right, I mourn her loss.
This is what all these high profile deaths have in common. No notes is the giveaway. And notice that they're almost all liberal...loose sense of morality. The rich and the famous get their kicks in weird ways. It's how David Carradine died. It's probably how Robin Williams died. But no family wants their loved one to be remembered as accidentally offing themselves during masturbation.

A cousin killed herself and I remember every single detail of that dreadful day —and it was fifty-eight years ago.

There’s a conspiracy stating that if you hang yourself by “door knob” it’s not a suicide, but rather murder and it’s a marker that the deep state or some other group uses to send the message.
