There are tons of them here, but not enough to derail us. It’s NICE to be in the majority. The trolls are spread thin. They have to cover 8ch, FR, all the news media sites with comments enabled, all the other conservative sites like CTH, etc. They must be super busy!!
Also I’ve noticed a lot of trolls with FR join dates in 1998. It would be interesting to see if there was an exceptionally large batch of new members at particular times.
I looked at the posting history of one troll a few weeks ago who had a join date around then and he posted once or twice, then about a 15+ year lapse, then suddenly trolling the last few months. How interesting!
I noticed that during the campaign...how do they get a date of 1998 and the name of the person listed when you know the person and know when they died???
Given the technology that the DS has on-hand, spoofing stagnant accounts on FR would be a breeze.

Actually, at least some of the real class of 1998 people like myself had a glitch occur in our membership that reset us way back in 1999. We were never able to recover our actual start date here. Hence my date is 1999, when my actual arrival here was closer to 1997. Like you, I’ve noticed that some of the biggest trollers and muscleheads around here appear to have 1998 pedigrees.

Not me, LOL! I don't post a lot, but I have been on FR daily since I joined almost 20 years ago.
We have had times where people joined and lay dormant for some time before becoming trolls, but I doubt there are people here since 1998 playing that game. 1998 was pretty early in FR history.

Don’t though, discount that a lot of ‘98 sign up Freepers are old folks who’ve got a lot invested in a stable worldview. Not a knock on them, and they gotta know that all us folks who’ve “believed the crazy crap” all these years will still have their 6 (though we’re gonna get some good ribbing in once in a while).
