Also I’ve noticed a lot of trolls with FR join dates in 1998. It would be interesting to see if there was an exceptionally large batch of new members at particular times.

I looked at the posting history of one troll a few weeks ago who had a join date around then and he posted once or twice, then about a 15+ year lapse, then suddenly trolling the last few months. How interesting!

Not me, LOL! I don't post a lot, but I have been on FR daily since I joined almost 20 years ago.

We have had times where people joined and lay dormant for some time before becoming trolls, but I doubt there are people here since 1998 playing that game. 1998 was pretty early in FR history.

Just because a person signed up in 98 and/or had a layoff doesn’t mean they’re a troll! Surely SOME real people signed up in 98. :-)

job demands
family demands
other factors affecting my free time.

Just saying it’s something I’ve noticed.

(Also, it’s in the dim reaches of my memory, but I might have had an earlier username and then forgot the password due to posting layoff, so created a new one. Old Timer’s disease. Ha!)
