This week marks the release of a new Star Wars movie, focusing on arguably the most loved character in the history of the franchise swashbuckling cosmic bad-boy Han Solo. Everything about Solo: A Star Wars Story suggests it should be steaming into cinemas on the back of a roaring hype train, but thats not so. Compared with the rabid fan anticipation that preceded The Force Awakens in 2015 and last years divisive The Last Jedi, the publicity build-up to Solo is muted, like Chewbacca with a sore throat.

Is Han Solo now a one eyed gay Black midget with a peg leg?
“Is Han Solo now a one eyed gay Black midget with a peg leg?”
Along with his love monkey that is the son of a wookie?
Magnum PI and Han Solo have been assumed by millennial snowflakes. Sometimes, imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery.
YAWN
Thanos should snap his fingers again for this film.
Will we next get the early life of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker growing up?
For the same reason you watch fail videos on YouTube.
Not going to see it at all. Am sick of Star Wars and it's new found mission of social justice perversion.
Lando Calrissian is homosexual. That's all you need to know to give this one a pass.
Not going to see it. Star Wars is pretty much dead to me.
“The Force Awakens” was stupid beyond belief. The action-packed-action kept me from seeing it while it while it playing, but, afterwards, when I actually stopped to think about the story, it just fell apart. I didn’t bother to go see “The Last Jedi.”
Very sad. I stood in line with my Dad (miss him so much) to see the first Star Wars flick when I was a teenager and now Star Wars has come to this.
I outgrew that “Star Wars” shtick well over 30 years ago.
Star Wars is DEAD. The Force Awakens killed it and The Last Jedi fed it’s body into a wood chipper.
Same here.
I am surprised it wasn’t played by a woman and the back story is he is a transgenedered.
SW is dead to me. They invalidated the entire sextology with “the farce awakens” (aka “New Hope 2.0”) and then invalidated the Jedi Order and the good it stood for in “lost jedi.” Let us not forget Mary Sue Rey who was just standing around when the force was whammed into her, pre-trained, just ‘cause.
It lost its thread and I hope and pray Disney loses its shorts on its 4 billion — they haven’t made it up yet and the overall viewship is dropping precipitously as everyone else sees the bad plot reuse and insipid story lines.
Not interested.
The only movies in the franchise I liked were....
“Star Wars”...........1977
“The Empire Strikes Back”....1980
“Return of the Jedi”....1983
and let’s not forget that it is a thinly veiled platform for social justice. What’s next, the homo sexual robot romance between R2D2 and C3PO?
I went to the theater to see the first Star Wars and thought it was goofy. I also saw the one with yada the hut on television, HD television, on Thanksgiving just a couple years back, and my takeaway was that it was a nothing more than a Muppet Movie. That said, I’m not opposed to good Sci-Fi movies such as alien, Dune, Sunshine, Etc... But Star Wars is basically a Kiddie movie.
I wish my nephew, who otherwise is a fairly sensible conservative wouldn’t put so much stock into the Star Wars franchise, but, he is totally ate up with the nonsense.
Ever since Disney cr@!!ed on Star Wars fans with the Last Jedi, I swore never to pay for watching another star wars movie again — proudly #boycottDisneySolo
