Should have armed themselves. Probably libs.
“The second man fled into the woods to escape the cougar”
Oh yeah dude, you’ll outrun a cougar.
From what I hear, if you encounter a cougar in the wild, you are supposed to freeze, then slowly walk backwards away from the cougar so it will not feel threatened. This is what a ranger told me when I did a hiking trip when I was in my teens.
Another reason to pack a .44mag with semi-wadcutters.
Named Tiffany.
One does not run from a predator.>>
Just die tired.
Wild America is no place for weak, stupid urban dwellers.>>
This is still an uncivilized world, and if a people become too civilized to do whats necessary to survive in an uncivilized world, theyre not going to survive.
Wow. That is one impressive, gigantic tomcat!
You turn your back on one of those things, you are smearing your butt with feline tooth attractant and waving a red cape at a bull. It triggers hunting instincts on them when you turn your back.
Video: NEVER turn your back on a big cat.
(I did think the tiger named Amanda was pretty funny...when the guy turned to face her, she looked like...if she could have talked, would have said: "Hey! How ya doing? Hey! Uh, I wasn't coming over here to sink my fangs in the back of your neck! Really, I wasn't...")
My brother is a Marine, never seen that look on his face;)
Firearms are bad - ask any leftist. If these hikers had guns, they would have been hurt and might even have hurt other people. The correct response is to dial 9-1-1 and wait patiently for the police to arrive. What could go wrong?
See my post above, specifically the link to the video on turning your back to a cat like that.
Worst thing you can do.
Much more effective against any wild cat including tigers and lions is a flame thrower. Cats do not like flames. They will not attack if you have a bonfire going near your tent in the wild. A 44 magnum will either kill the animal or if you miss, it will kill you in a flash. With a flame thrower, the cat simply runs away and no one is harmed or killed.
I spend a lot of time in the mountains. Have seen many mountain lions over the years, but I’m in CA and we can’t shoot them, though I would in self defense.
The tree huggers banned hunting with dogs. Now the cats are getting bolder and numerous.
That could ruin your Crystal Gail t-shirt.
What is a “road bike”?
That will tee them off.
Traipsing through a cougar’s kitchen and they wonder why they end up at dinner.
