Why post this? This engine will never see the USA.
By accident or by design; the VW diesel scandal has set back diesel engines another 10-15 years here in the US.

Of all the features they talk about with this engine, the low friction angle seems to be one of the less significant factors.

The internal belt on the oil system raised an eyebrow for me. Otherwise, pretty interesting.

If it were possible you could get compression with zero friction.
All that is necessary for compression of gases is to reduce the volume of the container.
In an engine this is a mechanical process and so friction is unavoidable.

Compression and friction are two different things. Less friction with the cylinder walls means you can get higher compression if desired.
At some point you need a tight seal to hold the compression in the cylinder. Don’t think you can get that with no metal on metal or some friction. Think if you could engine would last forever! See Porsche!
You want friction? Drain your oil, then go out for a drive.
