Experts used ground penetrating radar (GPR) which provided "conclusive evidence of the non-existence of hidden chambers adjacent to or inside Tutankhamun's tomb," the ministry said in a statement.
...
It said Porcelli had submitted a report that "concluded, with a very high degree of confidence... the hypothesis concerning the existence of hidden chambers or corridors adjacent to Tutankhamun's tomb is not supported by GPR data."
Previous scans had suggested the possibility of hidden chambers, although experts disagreed on the results.

Send Geraldo...
Another million dollar grant.....and nothing.
After a few thousand years of grave robbers, and a few hundred years of archeological digging, its hard to believe there is anything not already known about such a well advertised archeological site.
I won’t believe it until Geraldo tells me so.............
So he wasn’t buried with a donkey?
Thanks BenLurkin.
There will be a quid pro quo on this -- count on it. I'll be happy to proclaim that Nefertiti isn't behind that wall, but there is a void, and there's a visible mend where a block was used to cap a hole.
May be proof that he really was born in Arizona.
Pity. Wouldn’t it have been cool to discover Nefertiti’s tomb back behind the frieze.
The Islamofascists are firmly in charge of egyptian antiquities. Obviously there is a spiral ramp in the Great Pyramid, and opening that to tourists would lead to thousands of visitors, which is what the Egyptian economy needs. What happened instead? No evidence of anything, we're the experts, not you.
Any American tourist to Muslim countries is going into the eye of the storm. The riots of the souks are legendary, not to mention the machine-gunning of tourists a few years ago near the pyramids.
Hawass has no business being back in charge (de facto, not in title). Turning the entire country into a fascist version of Disneyland -- but staffed with freelance panhandlers instead of cartoon characters -- won't bring back tourism.
I’ve noticed over the years your animus towards Hawass, and I agree that his ego is enormous and he probably controls much of the research and information coming out of Egypt over the past few decades.
But once you get past that, if you can, I’d argue that he has publicized Egyptology so much, he has increased the public interest in Egypt tenfold what it was before he stepped forward. Egypt truly became a tourist destination again instead of a often-overlooked dusty backwater.
Perhaps this is coincidental and would have happened anyway, but to give the devil his due, it began on his watch. Whoever heard of a Director of Egyptology before Hawass? Name one.
The Chicago House has spent around a century making hand-drawn copies of the inscriptions and wall paintings throughout Egypt. When the march of time and Aswan High Dam and obliterated all remaining ancient monument texts, the Chicago House' copies will be the surviving record of what once existed.
By contrast, Hawass has had every man-jack he can find stuffing concrete into every crack to temporarily improve the looks of the monuments while permanently destroying their authenticity.
His concrete will help wick up the water and salts into the soil and destroy those very same inscriptions and monuments. He's grossly incompetent, and xenophobic/nationalist/notinventedhere regarding scholars and the study of ancient Egypt, oh, and he's got that kindhearted hatred of the Jews that I find so charming. :^)
But I have no animus toward the man. :^D
Got it. I will do a double animus so you don’t have to.
Make it a double-dirty-dog animus while you're at it, there are probably others who need to cover their animus credits.
