A helpful FReeper passed along the following link to a group that goes live on Youtube when Q drops are released. Each live stream video remains active as long as they have new insights or information or guests to share information. Q "drops" (i.e., posts) can be read with their original formatting on various websites. Sometimes the Q drop websites come under cyber attack or stop updating. This week, I've been using the following link:

Q drops (i.e., posts) often use unfamiliar acronyms. Swordmaker maintains a list of acronym definitions to help FReepers understand Q drop text. IIRC, it was a 6.2 that killed a lot of Taiwanese years ago. 6.9 is serious enough to instantly dive for cover.

My first thought when I saw the photos was to think of the White House warning or edict not to buy Apple smartphones because of their spy capability required (maintained?) by the PRC Chinese. If Apple is producing spy iPhones in the PRC, it could mean they import the spy iPhones to the USA. I thought this was more plausible.

Apple has full control of every component and piece of software that goes into the iPhone and they are checked at every step. It is highly unlikely that anything malicious or un-authorized could be hidden into an iPhone.

Unlike Android phones that are essentially slapped together from parts bought on the open Chinese market that have already been found to contain spyware for the Chinese, iPhones are locked down and checked with Apple controlled monitors in the assembly areas. Every piece of software is check-summed and also curated by Apple employees. The devices are also encrypted by 256 bit AES encryption. Q has actually put [Samsung] in a kill box, but not Apple, using Samsung as a stand-in, I think, for all Google Android products. The US military is now going to use Apple iPhones for secure communications as does the UK military.
