After two men were seen in social media video being handcuffed and removed by police officers from a Philadelphia Starbucks Thursday, the coffee chain issued an apology and said it is looking into the "unfortunate result."
Authorities were called to the store in Center City when the two men allegedly remained in the Starbucks after a manager told them they had to order something, according to the witnesses inside the Starbucks at 18th and Spruce streets. About five to seven police officers arrived about 4:30 p.m. and arrested the two men.
The men, who have not been identified, were later released after Starbucks declined to press trespassing charges.
Video of the encounter shows the two men calm as they are surrounded by officers, who ask them to stand up before handcuffing them and leading them out of the store. Witnesses inside the store could be heard asking what the men did that would lead the officers to arrest them.

Not to worry - the new Black Lives Matter-supporting DA will seize the Starbucks, auction it off and distribute the proceeds to the men and their families (after a twenty-five percent contribution to BLM, of course).....
nothing new here... just another scripted and staged event...

Might be wise to have signs up saying that the seating is only for the use of customers.
Yeah it seems very fishy.
Despite what they say, lots of White liberals are ascared of Black ppl in real life.
In anycase, when told to order something or leave, they should have complied, no one owes them an apology. The cops asked them to leave and only arrested them after they refused to. Brush the chocolate chips off your shoulders and obey police officers.
Exactly, how long were they taking up limited customer space without actually being customers? For some reason people believe places like Star*ucks and fast food operations are the same as public libraries or parks where they can just park themselves and use the amenities like WiFi and restrooms. It’s PRIVATE PROPERTY stupids!
Two black guys got arrested. Oh Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Of course. The beautiful people dont want them anywhere nearby.
But they have ZERO problem with them getting foisted on the unenlightened; thats actual part of the plan.
an. ...an actual part of the plan.
When I moved here, everyone hated Starbucks. They cant do it with the love and community _our_ shop offers. Maybe not. But those shops come and go and Starbucks explodes. Theyre everywhere. Im not a fan of their politics, but I do find myself walking in to buy a coffee and a piece of cake and minding my own business over a book or phone for an hour a couple times a week. And I know I can do that anywhere in the country where theres a Starbucks.
An alternative to Starbucks I also enjoy is a franchise called Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Its the same sort of place. But they dont advertise their politics. If they even have any. Im not rooting around to find out.
“Anybody, black or white, who goes to Starbucks ought to be arrested.”
Seems like a good place to get a big settlement. The optics of a big liberal company having 2 black guys arrested without obvious cause is not good.
liberals have declared black people to be special Americans, asking them to follow the same rules (regarding ordering food, trespassing) that are applied to white people is just not fair.
Some are more equal than others -orwell
Although I am happy to watch liberals eat their own. Bon Appetit
That issue was settled. In the 60s via skin color
I love the smell of liberals being hoisted on their own petard.
I just saw on twitter that the CEO is apologizing. It is nice to see the liberals eating their own. They have too many competing special victim groups.
“...lots of White liberals are ascared of Black ppl in real life....”
They’re scared of - and HATE - EVERYTHING that doesn’t immediately agree with or accept their little world of illusion.
Not only that, they were on their cell phones. Maybe the store manager has seen them frequently in the store on cell phones. Maybe he has examined store video and saw something he did not like. Maybe there is more to this than we know about.
