The list is flawed: “The Wild Bunch” is missing. Definitely one of the top 10.

“Silverado “. Really needs to be on that list.

The Unforgiven deserves at least an honorable mention somewhere as does The Cowboys.

I’d swap the top two. The Searchers is actually one of the best film ever done in any genre.

“Once upon a time in the West” was pretty stupid IMO...

I agree with all the Top Ten except for High Noon, which i think is grossly overrated. I would also throw in Unforgiven and The Wild Bunch and True Grit, either version, just off the top of my head.

I only saw LIberty Valance in the last 2 years. Masterpiece. Couldn’t believe that Lee Marvin could play a villain and one his henchmen was a young Lee Van Cleef. Jimmy Stewart played it perfectly in this movie more than the Christmas movie..

and no UNFORGIVEN?? Blasphemy

Not a bad list, but Shane doesn't belong in it.

“The Shootist” is really aging well for me. I saw it when it came out. And maybe had it on the tv as background noise a few other times. But I watched it again a few weeks ago and it is a very, very good western. And a really good movie

the british actor who played English Bob in Unforgiven, actually was watching High Plains Drifter on satellite dish in the Bahamas when he got the call from Clint. He couldn’t believe the coincidence, and just said yes. He thought the guy who said it was Clint Eastwood was pulling a prank on him..
