I am a little late joining in (I havce been catching up on Idol via On Demand).
From what I can tell in the last 3 acts, the couples are ALL great! No one goes home! They are all ready to be bankable acts NOW!
Man, that is lifting some hopes HIGH to be crashed on the jagged rocks below!

Sadly, AI has dropped the Simon archetype and just looked for 3 Paula types.
Funny b/c almost all elimination type shows have had a Simon meanie but AI decided otherwise.
AI established the judge panel archetypes — the meanie, the industry insider and the cheerleader. Not sure if it will be back next year with this lineup.
But maybe others see things differently?

No judges, he was not incredible. Geez. Are the judges on Ecstasy??Whatever they were on last night is starting to wear off tonight. The judges are ruthless with comments like "outside your comfort zone".
They're not even sparing their feelings or anything. Just cutting to the bone.

I think the judges are HORRIBLE. Of course, there will never be anything like the original 3 but I did like Jennifer Lopez after some time and LOVED Harry Connick Jr. This trio now is the typical liberal mushy feel good, all singers get a trophy type. Yuck.

Yeah and since they do have a couple of people that sing country, would it have been asking too much to have a country mentor in the bunch?
The judges choices of mentors can have a huge impact on who goes home.
