Last month, if you were visiting Adis Ababa in Ethiopia, you would have witnessed an astonishing sight.
Every January, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church celebrates a festival called Timkat, during which their senior priests parade through the streets of Ethiopia’s capital. They carry a replica of the Ark of the Covenant, as onlookers drop to their knees in reverence.
This obscure branch of Christianity has approximately 50 million adherents, most of whom live in Ethiopia. Aside for this sect’s curious affinity to the Hebrew Scriptures and Jewish practices — evident in their observance of kosher laws, separation of the sexes in their churches, and the treatment of Saturday as Sabbath rather than Sunday — they also make the extraordinary claim that the Ark of the Covenant, Judaism’s most revered object, is in their possession — and has been for almost 3,000 years.

The TRUE Ark with the Throne of Grace - Jesus Christ - is in Heaven at the right hand of the Father dispensing the New Covenant of grace replacing the vanished Old Covenant about which the Lord found fault (Hebrew 8:7-8, 13) and its ark.

Here’s a decent rebuttal:
Once it becomes inevitable that the Ark should be removed from its resting place, the only suitable ending is for it to wind up in another resting place where it will never again be disturbed. And it never would have made it to the unnamed warehouse without the efforts of the redoubtable Dr. Jones.

Very odd that the author of the piece would refer to a Church with 50,000,000 faithful and existing already almost 2,000 years as an “obscure group” and a “sect”. There are more Christians in Ethiopia than in almost any European country (except Italy, Germany, and Russia). Would he say “the obscure Irish Catholic Church” or the “obscure Swedish Lutheran Church” sect?
The Ark of the Covenant in Axum? Some think so. I’ve read about the story. In my opinion, it is not very important whether it is or not. It will be where it needs to be when the time comes.
In 1993 a book named “The Sign and the Seal” was written by Graham Hancock. I bought it then, it’s in my library.

You know, this is spooky weird, but I had a dream last night about the Ark of the Covenant in which I was talking to a Jewish guy who laughed and said,
“The Kohanim have the Ark. They have always had it. Does anyone really think the Jews would somehow misplace the most Holy of all Holy objects? The Ark will stay hidden until the Third Temple is built and consecrated, after which the Kohanim will convey it to its proper place.”
Weird...

The best book on the subject is “The Search for the Ark of the Covenant” by Randall Price.
The honest answer nobody likes to hear is “no one knows.”
And no, it’s not in Ethiopia. They have a Middle Ages Christian treasure chest behind that veil.
He figured that they were digging in the wrong place. Also, they followed him to Marion in Tibet, where that one doctor burned his hand on that staff head.
