How about right now? Insisting that Q meant “savior as in Christ” and not “savior as in Patton.” You are being obstinate in your insistence that your interpretation is correct. I think you have latched on to the “savior as in Christ” argument to justify your argument that Q is phony. You are refusing to see my POV that “savior” meant a military savior.
No, you are the one arguing. I’m simply stating two facts.
One: Q said POTUS is our savior.
Two: that is not language that I’ve ever heard any Christian use.
You really are determined to see only your own point of view aren’t you? This is why it’s not a discussion. And for what it’s worth, I am a Christian and I believe that the Lord is using Trump to clean out the cesspool of wickedness. I believe he is a military savior. So there!
Thanks, but there is nothing there that even comes close to a convincing argument for either possibility.
Have I said a word against *you* interpreting Q’s comment any way you like?
No, I haven’t.
But your interpretation doesn’t change my personal experience. Namely, that I’ve never heard any Christian refer to anyone but Jesus as their savior.
This thread has been hijacked long enough. Congratulations! I promise I won’t get sucked in next time.
Keep in mind that “Savior” and “savior” are not necessarily the same thing, just as “God” and “god” are fundamentally different.
I didn’t find the Alex Jones case to be very persuasive either. I found the comments of the other poster, who connected the contents to Bannon, much more interesting.
I’ve also seen a reference to a person named Zach, who was interviewed by Alex Jones. Zach claimed he was one of a tiny group of bona fide Qs. If anyone heard that interview, it would be very interesting to hear how AJ responded to the claim.
I have never capitalized ‘savior,’ in quoting Q’s statement. It’s just that capitalized or not, the language jumped out at me. In my entire life I’ve never heard a Christian refer to anyone but Jesus as their savior.
I’m actually quite surprised that I’m (afaik) the only one who’s commented on it. Most of Q’s comments are closely studied and analyzed. I haven’t seen the savior quote get much attention. Of course, it goes back to Nov 5. There were no FR Q threads in those days.
Sorry you didn’t “glance enough.”
Are you not aware that savior has a generic meaning???
.
agreed
Evidently metaphor is also in the eye of the beholder.
Bravo! Well done, and well said!
Then there’s Shrillery—where opening her mouth seems to kick in the phenomenon.
I’ve never thought of tunnel vision as a fruit of The Spirit.
Ahhhhh. “A” is steadfast but “B” is stubborn. What a handy way to construe reality!
You who. Check out post 376. Answerto the last q threads about the king tower pics.
I can’t say any more than I’ve already said. I was raised in the church and have been active/around Christians all my life. I’ve never heard a Christian call anyone but Jesus their savior. I personally have never called anyone but Jesus my savior. Honestly, that’s the extent of it from my POV.
If others find this usage normal and natural, then that’s how it is for them. It sounds way off to me.
