Severe flu brings medicine shortages, packed ERs and a rising death toll in California
Los Angeles Times ^ | Soumya Karlamangla

So many people have fallen sick with influenza in California that pharmacies have run out of flu medicines, emergency rooms are packed, and the death toll is rising higher than in previous years. Health officials said Friday that 27 people younger than 65 have died of the flu in California since October, compared with three at the same time last year.

Nationwide and in California, flu activity spiked sharply in late December and continues to grow.

The emergency room at UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica typically treats about 140 patients a day, but at least one day this week had more than 200 patients — mostly because of the flu, said the ER’s medical director, Dr. Wally Ghurabi.

...

The flu season is typically worst around February, but can reach its height anytime from October to April.

Though influenza had only only killed three Californians at this time last year, it had taken 68 lives by the end of February, according to state data.

Many California doctors, however, contend that the recent surge has been unusually severe.

“Rates of influenza are even exceeding last year, and last year was one of the worst flu seasons in the last decade,” said Dr. Randy Bergen, clinical lead of the flu vaccine program for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California.

***and a rising death toll in California.***

Just killing off the old Anglos so the young dreamers can take their place.

“We are taking back Texas one baby at a time!”- words heard by my sister-in-law in Texas, spoken by hispanics. Probably same for California.

Thank you! Getting better, slowly.

Good thing I work from home. I can work while sick and not get nasty looks from my coworkers.

A sterling silver tea ball was on my Christmas list this year. If years of nursing did nothing for me, it turned me into a self-taught naturopath.

Chicken soup may not stop a cytokine storm, but real bone broth has been proven one of the best foods for recovery from numerous illnesses. The stuff they call soup in those red or blue cans—not so much.

As a vet who recenty aquired an autoimmune disease, I’m not a huge fan of shots. The government tells me (and all the others) it’s just a coincidence that these symptoms came on after receiving a series of vaccines. The only bright spot is I now have a permanent waiver from the damned flu shots.

I can’t imagine ingesting one of the most reactive metals is going to do me much good either. Classical Greek medicine was a humorous endeavor at best. Double entendre included gratis.

Over 90% of “flu victim deaths” actually die of pneumonia, not influenza.
Very few patients that die of “the flu” have their lung fluid culture tested to accurately identify the specific strain of influenza, and determine if they were immunized with what specific flu vaccine.

From what I can gather, flu shots are a crap shoot racket.
WHO, CDC, Pharma shysters along with programmed unquestioning drone doctors have fooled the public into believing “how valuable it is to have your flu shot”.

They deliberately co-mingle pneumonia AND influenza mortality rate statistics to scare public with falsehood statements that:
“flu kills 36,000 Americans each year”.

Here’s the truth of it from The American Lung Association:

“Pneumonia consistently accounts for the overwhelming majority of the combined pneumonia and influenza deaths.

In 2013, 53,282 people died from pneumonia and
3,550 people died from influenza.”

Follow the money... WHO scientists and advisors made MILLIONS of dollars pushing BILLIONS OF DOLLARS of ineffective flu vaccines worldwide:

Swine Flu Pandemic: World Health Organization Scientists Linked to Vaccine Companies - ABC News

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/SwineFlu/swine-flu-pandemic-world-health-organization-scientists-linked/story?id=10829940

Scientists who advised the World Health Organization on its influenza policies and recommendations—including the decision to proclaim the so-called swine flu a ”level 6 pandemic” had close ties to companies that manufacture vaccines and antiviral medicines like Tamiflu, a fact that WHO did not publicly disclose.

The links between the advisors and the companies that make money from vaccines and flu treatments were detailed in a report published online by the British medical journal BMJ, which investigated the advisors’ role in WHO’s policy.

Although studies have shown influenza vaccines to be effective in preventing death in the elderly population, these findings may be the result of result selective bias sampling.

“If you’re sick....stay home!!”

Exactly! There is NO CURE. Stay home, rest, take Tylenol or NSAIDs, and drink lots of fluids.

I work in an ER and we have been overrun for 3 weeks by flu victims who are on Medicaid so their ER visits are FREE. Most of them are healthy enough that they will easily survive (after all, they get free healthcare, housing, food, and don’t have to work so they get plenty of rest when they aren’t smoking meth or weed) but they come to the ER because they are mindlessly programmed to do so and they spread the virus indiscriminately to everyone they encounter.

Of course, we also see elderly flu victims who are very sick and many are hospitalized. This is the nastiest, most widespread strain I have seen since the epidemic of 2004-05. It is an H2N3 virus and this years’ vaccine formulation has been estimated at about 32% effective. That’s still better than 0%!

This particular flu is probably from Asia, like most of them. CA has large numbers of Asian illegals because of human smuggling for restaurant and sweatshop work (not to mention prostitution).

“A doctor friend of mine told me do never go into grocery stores that have a pharmacy located within”

every grocery store in my town has a pharmacy in it, as do all the grocery stores in the surrounding towns: Walmart, Target, King Soopers, Safeway, Sam’s, Costco ...

even worse would be going to any clinic, doctor’s office, ER, hospital, or standalone pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens because they’re sure to be full of sick people too ...

I’m a supporter of vaccination, but it appears that they blew it this year when they made their selection.

I wonder if they were so focused on the new dog kidney version that they overlooked some of the basics. Or if affirmative action won out. Or if they just guessed wrong.

I have no idea which version I got. When I went in, I wasn’t aware that they were pushing multiple versions, so I just asked for a flu shot and got one.

The killer flus actually dont kill you.

They cause your immune system to overreact very quickly and your own body’s massive response kills you.

Which is why healthy people withgood immune systems were brought down while more chronically sick folks often survived.

There are things you can take to prevent the over-reaction of your immune system and still fight the flu itself.

They apparently missed the mark badly with this year’s vaccine.

So what else is new?

Other than the flu shot, what is your prevention protocol? Thanks.

Anyone seen any info on the percentage that had been previously vaccinated for this season?

They would never let us see such numbers.

“If you’re sick....stay home!!”

That bears repeating, MANY, MANY TIMES !!!!

It’s as if those that are miserable WANT and take PLEASURE in sharing with the world.
About 3 days before Christmas, I was standing in line at the local grocery store addressing a “honey, would you go to the store for me” run and this beyond sick woman walks up behind me with chips and a six-pack. She was warmed over death barely standing on 2 feet - coughing, hackin’, snifflin’ the snot back up her nose, mouth breathin’ with half-circles under her eyes.
I exploded and it was not pretty. I asked, really? REALLY?? 3 days before Christmas and you are in public in this shape ?! How many peoples holidays is this one, inconsiderate store trip of yours going to ruin ? Did you even think of that? Do you care ? Of course, no reply. I dropped my pecans and gallon of milk at the counter. Made a hasty dash to put distance between her and me. Glancing back I noticed folks moving away from her in line giving her the evil eye . . . I mean it, some humans do not deserve to draw breath.
Ok / rant off.
