Interesting choice.
Probably just a boring bureaucrat though, trying to get tangles out of his hair!
But interesting!

It’s hard to narrow down.
One choice high on my list would definitely be Chester Nimitz.
Whoever it is, though, in the back of my mind I’d be wondering if the historic person would be wondering “How did I get stuck having lunch with this dufus??”

Somebody here said, ‘my grandmother’.
Almost brought me to tears. I’m very much for that. I miss her every day.

That was my immediate thought too. I’d like to tell him about the current state of affairs - see the look on his face.

Also my father. WWII vet, died when I was 2. My two older brothers remember him better.

Not sure if I'd want lunch with anybody dead.
Sure, a corpse wouldn't eat much, but also probably wouldn't make interesting conversation.

Mr. Jefferson; and I'd let him bring the wine.

Alternate choice: W. A. Mozart; especially if I could get him to listen to my car radio (or my home stereo) playing his music.

Glenn Miller.
First-To thank him for all of the great music that made my parents and their friends happy.
Second-To ask him what happened. Why did he take that flight.
