Also my father. WWII vet, died when I was 2. My two older brothers remember him better.

Ahh. Yes. In your shoes, I would feel exactly the same way.

In my case, it is my dad, but for a somewhat different reason. My dad, career navy who was commissioned in 1945, had a stroke at dinner with the entire family one night, and even though he lived five more months, could not converse...I have often wanted to hear his voice one more time.

In your case, I am sure there are so many things you wondered about growing up...
