Yes—that is probably a huge factor for the lame crowd. I personally never thought much of the ball drop NYE-—just seems so silly to me.
I’ve lived in the NYC area for most of my life. Never been to Times Square for New Years Eve ... and probably never will.
What a silly ritual. Thousands of idiots freezing their butts off in bull pens staring up at a crystal ball that costs more than most of them make in a lifetime, waving advertisements for whichever company outbid the other ones to plaster thier logo everywhere. No drinking, no place to sit, no food, no where to go. No thanks.
#1 on that list was "Go To Times Square for NYE." So true.
