VietJetAir surprised passengers on their first Bangkok to Dalat, Vietnam, flight on Monday with a complimentary in-flight bikini fashion show.
Did that make cramming in economy seats a little bit more comfortable?
The parade of model in floral bikinis was meant to promote the city of Dalat, which is known for its beautiful flower gardens. So upon launching the new route, it makes sense that VietJet Air, a company known for putting scantily-clad women on their planes, would put bikini-clad women this time with decorative flowers on the first plane from Bangkok to Dalat.
Judging from the reaction of passengers, who were filming and smiling, the show was a hit.
Some netizens say they cant wait to fly Vietjet Air. The others are enraged that they dont do this on every flight.
The airline previously made headlines in 2014 for their sexy stewardess-themed photoshoot. Way to condone to the old-fashioned stigma.
A bit different from the Greyhound-bus-experience that is U.S. domestic air travel today.
The only thing on my flight from Dalat to Saigon on a DC 6 or so, was an ARVN general’s sick dog. He stank up the whole cargo hold.
My how times have changed.
Wonder if this flight to Thailand is going to privately be named “The Refugee Flight”?
PING to bump this thread.
Although to tell the truth, I have seen no other evidence of such a thing. This seems (very) out of character.
But very pretty. :D
Great idea.
Why are you blaming America for that tackiness?
However, in checking the flight schedule I do not see the Bangkok (BKK) to Dalat (DLI) flight, and it did not come up when I looked:

Too bad as Bangkok is a hour away by air for me.
Just hope we don’t see the same attempted here in the US with some of the old, fat, and very ugly stewardesses employed by the airlines.
Freakin genius.
My first airline flight was in the ‘70s on a startup airline that served the west coast.
Every stew looked like she had been plucked off a California beach. I don’t remember the quality of service.
“My first airline flight was in the 70s on a startup airline that served the west coast”
PSA? (Pacific Southwest Airlines)
That sounds right. But for certain I remember the stews.
In fairness, since we’re post-9/11 now, it’s very likely that at least two of those guys could lay a serious beatdown on just about anyone.
VietJetAir is owned by a woman, by the way. That should drive the NOW nags nutty.
We demonstrate doors and oxygen masks long time???
I thought so. Yes I remember seeing another such show of sorts about a year ago, could be that was mentioned higher up the thread.
